Anyone have any candidates for Fundiest Board, Fundie of the Year or Quote of the Year? Since we have a month left anyway I figured I'd start a thread on the subject. Personally I have no thoughts on the quote of the year, but I'd suggest Free Republic for Board of the Year and savagesusie as Fundie of the Year.

Has Vox Day already won an award? Because I recall a few quotes that advocated violence against women. It was pretty fucked up.

Has Vox Day already won an award? Because I recall a few quotes that advocated violence against women. It was pretty fucked up. To my knowledge he hasn't. He also excused marital rape, advocated the assassination of Richard Dawkins and expressed his disbelief in evolution (which is actually minor compared to advocating rape and murder).

I'd like to nominate Bryan Fischer as Fundie of the Year due to his absolute batshittery.

My two nominations for the official categories are as follows: - Fundie individual of the year: Michele Bachmann
- Fundie board of the year: Moonbattery
- Fundie quote of the year: Vox Day, Vox Populi: "raping and killing a woman is demonstrably more attractive to women than behaving like a gentleman."
And just for the hell of it, a few categories I thought up myself: - Fundie organisation of the year: American Family Association
- Fundie fail of the year: Harold Camping making not one but two Rapture predictions - both of which fell flat. (runner-up: Dennis "David Mabus" Markuze getting his ass arrested at last.)
- Conspiracy theorist of the year: Mike Adams
- Racist of the year: Anders Breivik
- Racist organisation of the year: English Defence League

Just to poke my nose in here(I really should be making a bit of poll software for this finally... but... skyrim). Categories I will do no question follow: [/li][li] Fundie individual of the year:[/li][li] Fundie board of the year:[/li][li] Fundie quote of the year:[/li][li] Conspiracy theorist of the year:I do some number pulling to make sure any high profile main page items are included, but I'll include at least one of the nominees from here in the final listing regardless. Any other categories I'll consider if it gets a decent chunk of nominations. And then wittle them down to a final set to post on the mainpage (possibly on software I should have written in the last 3 years), through a few polls here in the last week of the month.

- Conspiracy theorist of the year: Mike Adams
- Racist of the year: Anders Breivik
- Racist organisation of the year: English Defence League

Fundie of the yearsavagesusie, just for the sheer volume of her hateful, pseudo-intellectual wharrgarbl and its consistent concentration of batshit insanity. Bryan Fischer gets an honorable mention, since he manages to be equally as hateful but mentally balanced enough to front a hate group that can seriously influence political discourse. (Scary stuff, that.) Fundie Board of the YearFree Republic, if they have not already won it before, though savagesusie somehow manages to be so loco that she makes the rest of them almost seem normal. If they have already won before, then Moonbattery, and if they have, then “ The Thinking Housewife” (which Jazzy and I trainwreck-syndrome over). Fundie Quote of the YearEither the vile and frightening quote from Vox Day that Fishcake already nominated, or this piece of authoritarian heteronormative trash from Proph. (I would definitely nominate Proph’s quote, hands down, but I’m not sure if he is a Poe or not. I can’t tell, because his quote is just so over the top. Would a real Poe be that ridiculous and “obvious”? What do you guys think?) Also, this quote from “Feynman and Coulter's Love Child” gets an honorable mention from me, but it definitely tingles my Poe senses. I’d nominate him for a “Best Poe” award or something similar. Racist of the YearAnders Behring Breivik. Also, in lieu of him, the Gulnare Free Will Baptist Church lives in the 1950s, but they came to visit us in 2011 just long enough to give us this late December submission for their collective nomination. Racist Board of the YearMoonbattery again. They don’t even try to hide their racism and have several quotes in the RSTDT Top 100, including many from 2011. Racist Quote of the YearApparently it’s okay to bash black people, but Jews are off limits, at least according to blackmetal84. Conspiracy Theorist of the YearMichael Savage, who was classy enough to argue that to argue that Anders Behring Breivik’s attacks were a liberal conspiracy to make conservatives look bad and take everyone’s guns away ( also indirectly referenced on-site here). Conspiracy Theory Board of the YearOh God, Indigo Society, just Indigo Society, where Harry Potter and Avatar were documentaries channeled from an alternate universe, the lost civilization of Atlantis was the home of Aryan race whom Hitler channeled through Satan, dinosaurs didn’t quite die out and instead evolved into Reptilians, demons are like Pokémon and therefore should be eaten, and Power Rangers is an allegory to teach kids the truth about evil Reptilians, amongst all sorts of other insanity. Conspiracy Theory Quote of the YearThis post, which defies summarization, really. Also, did you guys know that Earth actually has two moons, or that the ancient Romans drove cars like ours with seatbelts and everything? (Conspiracy theories and CSTDT are my fav, in case you couldn’t tell.) Edit: Yeeeaah, in a post with this many links, I was bound to muck up at least one of ‘em.

Oh, and for newbie types, I massively prefer nominations with a quote link. Gives me something to tie everything to on the final poles.

[I've actually decided to change my mind on the quote of the year and add a new category as well.] Okay, so my official picks: Fundie of the Yearsavagesusie for her various batshit, pseudo intellectual rants against gays and Marxists. She thinks that high speed rail systems are the precursor to a Communist Holocaust, said that calling gay rights civil rights should outrage The Blacks, supports mass book burnings, compared the Islamic cultural center in NYC to a Nazi gas chamber being built after WWII, claimed that atheists could be banned from all gov. positions since they don't acknowledge a supreme being, said that women should never be pastors because women are weak and overly emotional (nevermind that susie is a woman herself), and has gone on unhinged rants about gays being responsible for the Holocaust. She's also an anti-vaxxer to boot. Fundie Board of the YearFree Republic for its obvious racism, numerous homophobic comments--especially in light of NY legalizing gay marriage, advocating secession or the violent overthrow of the U.S. government, and their crazed, sometimes genocidal, hatred of Muslims. Fundie Quote of the YearProph for his horrifying justification/endorsement of homophobic and transphobic violence. Racist of the YearIt would be nice to pick Anders Breivik, but he was never quoted on the mainpage to my knowledge. If we can pick someone who hasn't been quoted then yeah I'd choose him. If not then I have to go with Gerald James McManus, who wrote a blood-drenched, racist extermination wank-fantasy for Neo-Nazis. Racist Quote of the YearDefinitely the one from Chimpout that prohibits anti-Semitism while condoning racism against black people. Racist Board of the YearMoonbattery for the reasons given by shykid. In January, 2011, they officially donned their white cloaks when news broke of a Marine being attacked by black teens. Conspiracy Theorist of the YearAgain, agreed with shykid that it should be Michael Savage for claiming the Oslo/Utoya attacks were a false flag operation by multicultural Marxists. Or something. Plus, we have the quote. Runner-up should be Sher Zieve for her unhinged lunacy. Conspiracy Theorist Board of the YearAbove Top Secret. 'Nuff said. Conspiracy Theorist Quote of the YearNothing made me laugh more than an ignorant FReeper crediting Donald Trump with bin Laden's demise. Misogynist of the YearVox Day for denying the existence of marital rape, claiming that women are "fascists at heart", saying that women have used Title IX to destroy science, and, of course, making the despicable assertion that assaulting, raping and murdering women makes one more attractive to women than acting like a gentleman. Misogynist Board of the YearVox Popoli for the reasons stated in the Misogynist of the Year section. Misogynist Quote of the YearAlthough Vox Day wins through sheer volume, I'm going to call a tie between Bob Allen for the cringe-inducing post in which he cheered the near-fatal shooting of (as he put it) "Congresscunt Giffords", and Sandy Rios for callously comparing counseling for battered women to receiving mani-pedis.

Arrgh, there it is! I knew that Michael Savage quote was on there somewhere! I just couldn’t find it, ‘cause it didn’t have Breivik’s name in it.

Arrgh, there it is! I knew that Michael Savage quote was on there somewhere! I just couldn’t find it, ‘cause it didn’t have Breivik’s name in it. Yeah I actually submitted that one. It failed a couple times because of length so I had to trim it down to get the looniest bits.

Sometimes I like to drag up some obscure stuff. If I made any mistakes just tell me and I'll change them. Also, I apologize for not knowing how to hyperlink URLs. Fundie of the Year: For her extreme homophobia, Christian dominionism, fear of education, martyr complex, paranoia, and nostalgic desire to return to the Dark Ages and drag everyone else kicking and screaming with her, I nominate savagesusie ( www.fstdt.com/Search.aspx?Fundie=savagesusie) as Fundie of the Year. Congratulations for living up to your screen name, you crazy sack of shit. Fundie Board of the Year: This is a difficult decision, because Moonbattery and Free Republic are both excellent examples of the worst things about fundies. In fact, there are many quotes which are perfect trifectas of Fundie, Conspiracy, and Racist. But personally, I always felt that both were better arguments for creating W(ingnuts)STDT and S(exists)STDT. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of fundie, but the WSTDT seems to overwhelm the FSTDT factor. Earlier I suggested an infamous Vox Day quote that advocated violence against women. However, the blog Vox Popoli seems to embody a level of fundieness that is extremely dangerous. You might be wondering why I didn't just nominate Vox Day as Fundie of the Year and pick some other board. Well, the reason is because some of Vox Day's fans (shudder) are just as rabid and bigoted as Vox is ( www.fstdt.com/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=84227, www.fstdt.com/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=80830). They are the sum of everything I despise in humanity rolled into one. Therefore, I nominate the blog Vox Popoli as the Fundie Board of the Year ( www.fstdt.com/Search.aspx?Board=Vox+Popoli). Fundie Quote of the Year: Hands-down, this entire essay that defends bullying LGBT teens. ( www.fstdt.com/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=83832) While you're at it, maybe you should also throw in an award for Complete Monster. Conspiracy Theorist of the Year: Yeah I'm going to have to second Michael Savage. How the fuck do you take Breivik, a man with a known history of anti-Muslim hatred and conspiracy theorism, and handwave it with the accusation that it's all a "coverup"? Conspiracy Board of the Year: Above Top Secret ( www.fstdt.com/Search.aspx?Board=Above+Top+Secret) is my nomination. Aliens and goblins and geocentrism, oh my! ( www.fstdt.com/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=84131, www.fstdt.com/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=83911, www.fstdt.com/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=83503) Conspiracy Theorist Quote of the Year: Two moons? Even if there were, if we landed on them, you'd still say they were both hoaxes. www.fstdt.com/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=79241. Racist of the Year: Anders Breivik. 'Nuff said. Racist Board of the Year: I support the nomination of Moonbattery, for reasons stated by shykid and Honky McCracker. As a runner-up, I recommend Africa Speaks www.fstdt.com/Search.aspx?Board=Africa+Speaks for tinges of conspiracy theories and pseudoscience. Racist Quote of the Year: I came, I saw, I lol'd. ( www.fstdt.com/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=81091)
