never thought I'd agree with Jack Thompson about anything. What about that Mass Effect 2 controversy? |

Has Jack ever said anything about the Left Behind games? He hated the games. He cut ties with the publishers of his books because they were also the publishers of the books of the Left Behind series of which the games were based. He also tried to sue said publishers over it. I'll lobotomize myself before I feel respect for Jack Thompson. |

Lithp - why not lobotomize him? Further I mean. It's hard to respect someone when their speaking resembles the Stupid Thug(s) from old Warner Bros and Hanna-Barbera cartoons.

What was the mass effect controversy? Fox News made a controversy out of it, and then Jack Thompson came in and defended the game. Given his history against violent video games, this was like hell froze over. |

I thought he was against that too. One would think so, given that he's also the one who convinced a judge to declare the content of 2 Live Crew's As Nasty As They Wanna Be album to be obscene under Florida law, and therefore banned in that state. (However, the ruling was later overturned on appeal, on free-speech grounds.) |
