Just for lulz at the clothing, and WTF is he doing with that flute (around 3:20) OMGBBQ!!
This is more or less the part that's in the book I have, I think. Been looking for a recording of it because on paper it doesn't make much sense....

And it makes more sense now?

And it makes more sense now? Well, most musical notation is in Latin, and she probably thought "whirl flute around like your cock is on fire" was a mistranslation. But hearing something in action really does help make sense of the funny marks on the paper.

God, Ian Anderson is such a character on stage. I always wonder if he's ever accidentally flung his flute into the audience, or even better, at the drummer.

;D Yeah, it makes sense now because that's what they have in the book for "Thick as a Brick" and not the song that they play on the radio, so I was confused. Here's another one: That's my favorite of theirs. I'd love to see them live if I ever get a chance. I also found this a while ago: www.j-tull.com/musicians/iananderson/equipment.htmlChinese instruments. We call those instrument-shaped objects. ;D Also, 500 posts! W00t!

You ever see the episode of the Simpsons where the Who plays for Springfield and Roger Daltrey accidentally hits Marge with his microphone? Incidentally, apparently the line he originally said was "Get the fuck outta the way, Marge!" That's what you made me think of. Come to think of it, a lot of 70s acts really went apeshit with their instruments. Even factoring out the "smash your guitar" stuff the Who helped create.
