I'm getting kind of tired of hearing about all of the game's run-and-gun shootery-ness. SHOW ME SOME RPG MECHANICS, GODDAMMIT! You said you would be working on improving them, but you haven't given us any evidence that you are. All I've seen are big action set pieces, which, while they're nice, are not what I play your games for. I don't buy a BioWare game to play a Gears of War clone.
I'm not asking for them to give away the whole plot, but how about some story sequences? Interactive dialogue? Characters? New locations? Stats? Skills and talents? Inventory? Class-specific features and abilities? Character customization? Any of that would be nice.
I'm guessing that this is EA's influence showing through in the marketing. Gotta get that dudebro market, after all.
Is it me, or do the animations in some places look a bit unpolished? When Shepard falls off that ledge in the beginning, for instance. He swings around that light machine gun like it's made of paper.
I'm really looking forward to this game, but so far it's had some terrible marketing.
Aaah... The same old show me some RPG band wagon . Can't you wait for the demo in January? You will get your full share of RPG elements spoilers then.
Well I am very happy that none of it is shown yet actually. I do not want to know anything storywise, characterwise etc. before I start the complete game myself (I will not play the demo at all). I find the secrecy about this quite appealing and promising. But look at the trailer again - just observe the detail of the brief character interactions shown. I find it quite sufficient to sustain my trust in the dev team to do an exquisite job.
Also... it's a squee thread not a debbie downer one!
