Controversial quick chicken chain Chick-fil-A released a statement yesterday confirming that an employee at an Orange County location did in fact identify at least two UC Irvine students of Asian descent as “Ching” and “Chong” on their meal receipts. In the statement, the company’s PR chief Jerry Johnston blames the incident on “immaturity, failed judgment, and human error,” and notes that the individual responsible has been terminated. He goes on to say: losangeles.grubstreet.com/2011/12/chick-fil-a-response-racist-receipts-ching-chong.html

Well. At least they canned the buggers. That has to mean something. And it's not like fast food employees are known for being particularly intelligent and mature...

Why would you blame Chick-Fil-A? I mean, unless you expect a supervisor to be keeping a constant eye on everything the employees do…

Why would you blame Chick-Fil-A? I mean, unless you expect a supervisor to be keeping a constant eye on everything the employees do… I didn't say I blamed them... I didn't say that in the topic title, or anywhere else. But other people were when I found the link and info. Now if only we could solve that pesky donating to anti-gay rights organizations. But I suppose restaurant chains can donate to who they like.

But the topic title suggested there is a reason to do so. …Didn’t read the link yet. Even if I did, I rarely read Comments. Yep. And the consumers are free to not patronize the restaurant based on that donation. Unfortunately, a large enough restaurant chain is not likely to be hurt too badly by that.

Why is the place "Controversial"? I already mentioned why earlier in the thread... No, your OP makes no mention of why it's controversial.

I don't eat out there because I can get better chicken elsewhere. Their religious views factor in too. The AFA helps me shop. If they want me to boycott someone, I shop there.
