Sorry if the title is a little misleading, I couldn't really think of anything good...but yes, reporting from Right Wing Watch, in an effort to gain awareness for breast cancer, at the LifeWay Christian Resources bookstore, where they sold pink Holman Christian Standard Bibles, where every Bible purchased will send one dollar to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. So, what's the problem? well, after a number of complaints, it turns out that among Susan G. Komen's affiliates are donated to a...certain organization. Give you a few hints: The name has two words, both start with "P", and end in "Lanned Arenthood." Give up?...shame on you. But yeah, turns out buying the Lord's pink Bible will not only go to finding the cure for breast cancer, it may also "support" abortion! *le gasp* LifeWay President, Thomas Rainer, called the project a, "Mistake": www.rightwingwatch.org/content/christian-bookstore-pulls-pink-bibles-over-distant-ties-planned-parenthoodI'd complain that PP does much more then merely abort cells, but meh.

Shame on Planned Parenthood for caring about all aspects of sexual health instead of being Abortions R' Us.

Wow. Am I too cynical if when I read the title, I was expecting the problem to be someone assuming pink meant homosexual, and they didn’t want any homosexual bibles?
As to the actual topic: Why not sell the bibles and donate the proceeds to a different breast cancer research fund?

Plenty of them still act like Harry Potter is something totally new.

Yeah, once again, I'm sorry, but like I said, I wasn't sure what I could type down. Maybe I should've been more blunt: "Pink Bibles recalled from Christian store." Edit: Typo error

Cancer cells are humans too! If we kill them that's murder! </sarc> Wow. Am I too cynical if when I read the title, I was expecting the problem to be someone assuming pink meant homosexual, and they didn’t want any homosexual bibles? As to the actual topic: Why not sell the bibles and donate the proceeds to a different breast cancer research fund? While not a bad idea, it would ultimately be pointless if not for the fundies. Plus, PP is a pretty large organization.

We’ll just have to ( *gasp!*) read the actual post to find out what is really going on.

You know what, at this point it would probably be better for Planned Parenthood to split into two organizations, one of which being for women's health, and the other would be "Abortions R Us" like the fundies currently think. Because this is getting ridiculous.

Because this is getting ridiculous. So you're proposing we give them what they want and make it easier for them to restrict women's access to abortion?

I will remember this the next time someone tries to feed me that crap "The baby's right to live trumps the woman's right to convenience" line.
