If it's historical then put in a museam. There's nothing wrong with personally collecting historical items, not even ones that are racist in nature. It is how they are displayed/what you do with them that matters. Like, put it up in your parlor, or even not immediately noticeable in a cabana or a covered bar (suddenly imagining a rich person, don't know why) next to the pool. So you can point at it an say " Jeely Cly, can you believe people used to do this?" Own it ironically, own it historically, whatever. Just don't use it for the intended purpose.

If it's historical then put in a museam. You can take my historical items from my cold, dead fingers.

It could make an interesting, historical decoration if you, say, kept it in your parlor, far from any pool, where the irony of the sign would be obvious. But a sign that says “Public Swimming Pool: Whites Only” by an actual pool—public or otherwise—Yeah, that’s not gonna fly. My thoughts exactly. I spent entirely too much time making that (a whole 10 minutes). I also have a feeling I am going to be making more Blingee responses to stupid people now. Shykid, you so fabulous.

The way the ABC article puts it is that the "cloudy water" thing was something said at a party and not specifically about the reason for the sign (which was, the complainants allege, put up after the party).

As a history lover, I'd love to own and display such a sign for its historical value. But since I'm not racist, I'd certainly not display it at a freaking public pool.

Here's a real doozy! At the end this broad says.....
“I’ve never said anything to that child,” Hein said. “If I have to stick up for my white rights, I have to stick up for my white rights. It goes both ways.”
"WHITE RIGHTS"?!
Fuck you, bitch!!!
I usually am swear-free but I do enjoy the concept of "Precision F-Strikes", a TV Tropes term in which a person, character or whatever, who are usually tidy-mouthed, drops some expletives.
Again....Fuck you, bitch....with Shaka Zulu's spear!!!

Until that line, I was willing to entertain the possibility that she was just extremely stupid and insensitive. But as soon as I saw "white rights," I lost all doubt about her racism. When a member of any majority race/ethnicity starts whining about the rights of their group, there is a 99% chance they are racist twats. I'm sure at least some anti-white racism exists in this country, but you just aren't a victim of it, lady.

At least put a plaque underneath the sign to signify it's a historical piece and not an actual rule to be followed by users of the pool.
