Today I learned that if you seize someone by their hips from behind, they'll naturally shift their butt towards you. This works even if said person is asleep, regardless of gender.

Today I learned about a thread called, "Today I learned."
I also learned I could work a 10 hour shift (no break) after only 3 hours of sleep and not strangle anyone (though the thought did occur to me more than once).

You are a gentleman for offering, fair warning I have many-many files! Well alright, but I warn you, they're not going to be there for very long. I've been eating a lot of fibre lately.

Maos (Dinornithidae) had no wings! They were the only birds that have no wings! Even other non-flying birds have wings. This intrigues me.

Apparently zinc can kill bacteria by irreversibly binding to a particular protein which is supposed to bring manganese into the cell.

Does it have adverse effects on people and pets too, or would this be a safe antibacterial to use around the house?

Zinc is an essential nutrient in animals and people with zinc deficiency actually have a harder time fighting off infection. Now we have some idea why this is the case.
ETA: And I very much would love it if this could be used as an antibacterial.
