It sounds like you were respectful at least. But yeah it would be hard for me to decide whether I should but in or not say anything at all in that aspect. But when the father said she was too young to make that decision is complete bullshit. Which is why I'm so against child indoctrination into churches or other religions. They simply don't understand what they are getting into.

A day-brightener for me. You handled that extremely well, and your influence may be long-lasting.

I agree, that was really cool of you. I don't call it interfering in a stranger's business, I call it a random act of kindness.

Cait, you have done a wonderful thing. You just made that girl's day, if not her entire life, that little bit brighter.

Well congrats Cait. Now you've caused this poor thing to actually use her brain and will now have to come to a decision for herself rather then relying on her parental units for guidance and her life will be richer and brighter from here on in. What's next? You buy a bunch of those cheap yet warm looking yarn scarfs from Old Navy and distribute them to the poor?
Ironbite-WHERE'S YOUR CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!?

Cait, you have done a wonderful thing. You just made that girl's day, if not her entire life, that little bit brighter. My thoughts exactly. In fact, you've made my day brighter just from the knowledge that I'm acquainted with someone who would do something this awesome. *gives Cait a big ol' hug*

Cáit, you were the serpent in that girl's Eden. And the serpent is the symbol of wisdom (Be ye therefore wise as serpents!). You opened her eyes, and it was superbly done!

It's never easy to see the line between messing with other people's business and giving a hand to someone who needs it, but it sounds like you handled it perfectly.

That story makes you a hero in my book. The world could use a few more people like you.

Definitely a better person than I would be in the same situation.

Definitely a better person than I would be in the same situation. Same here. I wonder if they'll ever do something like this on the show What Would You Do?

Yesterday I did something I had no right to do but I couldn't stay quiet. I just couldn't. I would have hated myself and I remember what it felt like at that age. Strangers have no business involving themselves in familial quarrels, but I honestly just couldn't ignore it. While I can't dissagree, I do it too and I have to say you handled it fairly well from the sounds of things. But then I've also rarely ever heard of kids who did want to go to church.

Cait, That was a wonderful thing you did....and this is coming from me, a Theistic person.
People should be free to believe or not believe & free to think for themselves.
