Just went to see it last tuesday. It wasn't a great movie but I liked it. The only thing I really hated about it was the CGI. Wolverines claws were horrible in this movie. I haven't watched the other three for a while but I remember the claws being done alot better.
And just found out they are going to make a deadpool movie. I think ryan reynolds will be great as deadpool. Hope they fix the character thow.

I'm trying to figure out how he's over 100 years old. They just said he's a kid from Northwest Territories and that as an adult he was in the Civil War, WWI, WWII and Vietnam. Nothing about how he's so damn old.

This is mentioned in the first X-Men movie. His healing factor slows his aging almost to a standstill.

One of his mutant healing abilities is a very high healing factor, he can recover from nearly any wound or toxin and it gives him incredible longevity--that's sort of common X-Men knowledge.
Is that what you meant?

I don't remember, but I don't think so; they'd probably handwave it as "when his bones grew back into place, it bent the adamantium back as well."

I thought it wasn't bad, but not as good as the X-Men movies. I would've liked to see more of Deadpool, but at least he gets his own movie. Speaking of which, I wonder which ending they'll use for him; the one where he (Mutant XI) survived the beheading or where it was never him as XI.
While I liked Cyclops in it, wouldn't that go against the first movie? In the first X-Men, neither Cyclops nor Xavier knows Wolverine or where he came from, but according to this movie, they know Stryker was responsible for everything, including the experiments.
Overall, not bad, but I'm hoping Deadpool's movie is better.

IMO this movie is not nearly as bad as some people, critics and internet movie goers alike, having been saying it is.
The biggest problem for me was the inconsistent quality of the CGI. The scene where Wolverine is playing with his claws in the bathroom - worst CGI I've seen in years. The end fight on top of the plant chimney - pretty damn spectacular, even if buildings and infrastructure are oddly missing from the background. Patrick Stewart made to look younger - awful, looks like some weird uncanny Japanese android.
Even in the same scenes the SFX are inconsistent. Like the helicopter-bike chase; some of the green screen effects are terrible by todays standards, but yet the shot of him leap/being blown off the bike onto the helicopter looks pretty good. It's like they had two different effects houses working on this film or something.
Other than that it's a pretty fun way to spend 90-120 mins, or however long it is.
Oh, if you're a big X-Men freak you will fucking HATE Deadpool. Personally, I didn't give a shit 'coz I'd never even heard of him until now lol.

Maybe what happened at the island but maybe not what happened to logan at the one base in canada. And I don't think cyclops knew anything. He was taken quickly and blindfolded. Speaking of this, did anyone think Xavier looked freaky at the end? Or when the kids are getting on the helicopter, it looked like the shittiest green screen ever?

I didn't hate Deadpool; I just didn't like that they made him Weapon XI. I'm curious as to how they incorporate that into his movie. I'm guessing either he keeps all the powers but gets back his mouth, he loses some of his powers, or it's a prequel.
I'd prefer the second choice.

Talking of Deadpool, why does Ryan Renolds look so damn young in this movie? He looks about half the age he did in Blade Trinity.
He's also about half the size he was in Blade 3. He was seriously ripped in that movie - if I was gay I'd have totally hit that.
