even when the history channel does history, it's made up. I don't watch it so this is second-hand, but a friend who is a history professor is always complaining about their "mysterious mystery" type shows that are always making history seem vague and unknowable. Like Pharaoh Tutankamen, the Mona Lisa, et cetera.

And let's not even get into Sci-Fi Channel original movies. I think they just make those things exclusively for the MST3K crowd to riff on.

For that matter, what the fuck is with the Syfy thing?
I mean, I know that "Scifi" is apparently a naughty word in another language, but... it's not that other language. It's English.

No, it's the other way around. The name change was motivated because apparently "Sci Fi" isn't a cool enough spelling, and afterwards they found out that Syfy has less than pleasant connotations in Polish.

Didn't they change the name so they could start showing non-sci-fi stuff, in order to reach a broader audience or something?

Further proof that TV is pointless and that, if you want to see something, you should just go online and watch videos.
Or buy the DVDs.

We have Babylon 5 now. The entire series.
It's essentially better than all current television combined. Yes, even the good shows.

It's really sad how crappy TV have gotten over the years. I spend most of my time watching a lot stuff from Netflix, movies, old TV shows, etc. The only things I really watch on TV is cartoons. I hate how TV has gone so far downhill that most of the shows are made to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Sorry, If I sound like a snob, I just hate how once awesome channels, now only show crap.

Yeah...a prime example of that is Adult Swim. They went from a less-than-normally censored anime block, to having some okay original stuff like Aqua Teen Hunger Force...then, they decided Tim and Eric were funny (and not balls-to-the-wall creepy and just not fucking funny), and now we've got all this nice, shitty live action bullshit that befouls what -was- once a generally good thing.
Tim and Eric destroyed Adult Swim. Perhaps their being in long-term comas will fix it, perhaps not. Either way, I want to inject acid into their eyes with a hypodermic needle.

I saw a commercial for Tim and Eric.
It involved some guy CG-Vomiting and then breakdancing in it.
I sat there in shock for the next 5 minutes.
It's kinda strange, though, that pretty much all of the fans of the show that I've seen (so, in short, this isn't indicative of anything) tend to be stoners.
...Not that it says anything about stoners themselves, considering I've seen many that hate the show with a passion. Remember, saying that "Fans of X tend to be Y" is not the same thing as saying "Y tend to be fans of X"

DUDE. I've noticed the same fucking thing. My cousin and her husband? Both stoners, both fans of that shit.
