I know many of us may not actually keep them, but I'm curious if anyone's made one (or more).
Myself, for the record, is walk at least 2 miles a day every day I'm home (even once I find work again), and hope to lose and keep off at least 15 pounds. If I can get down to below 250 pounds and stay there, I'll be happy. I haven't seen below 230 since before I left Oregon three years ago, so I'm hoping that I can be healthier eventually.
... Hm, that reminds me, I still have salad and raspberry vinegarette dressing in the fridge.

To get enough money to build myself a good gaming PC. Then Skyrim.

if it helps, Art? My current box is almost 5 years old, and it still runs Skyrim very, very prettily on Medium settings alone.
It's a rare game that makes me stop and look around in wonder at the world around me. I would have done it with Bioshock if I weren't scared of Slicers popping up out of the shadows and killing me. Skyrim's done it on what many tech-geeks would laughably call low settings, just because I'm not running it on Ultimate resolutions, full screen, with multiple monitors. You can build a decent gaming rig to run Skyrim now, on the same settings, for probably under $600, easy.

Yeah, but I want to go all out. Skyrim is most definitely not the only game I want to play by a long shot. Besides, I want something that'll last me a good three years or so, playing modern games at maxed out graphics settings while still giving a decent frame rate. Also I figure I'll save money in the long run, as a $600 machine will need replacing next year at the very latest unless I want to be confined to retro gaming.

Writery things! Namely, finish the novel-length fanfic I'm co-authoring, and work on my real novel.

The same resolution I always make: Punch David Letterman in the face.

Mine?
I have 3.
To finally get organized in my life. I'm tired of my filing cabinet being a big box of loose papers and being late for half the shit in my life.
To be more consistent in showing those I love that they are loved.
To get back on track with my savings plan.

The big one is to get back to college, which mostly means getting over my fear of fucking up.
Then fairly standard stuff, eat better, exercise more, try to organize my apartment.

I kind of wonder how many people here made progress towards last year's resolution.

I kind of wonder how many people here made progress towards last year's resolution. My resolution last year was to donate more blood and I did actually stick to that one. This year I really need to build some muscle mass to support my health, so I'm going to be very original and pledge to work out more.

I was expected, as a child, to make resolutions and tell everyone what they were. Whether or not I could keep them wasn't always under my control. When I grew up (as if…) I suddenly realised that it was unfair pressure. So, one year I made a resolution never to make another New Year's Resolution. So far, I've kept it.

Get comfortable in my own skin. Whether that means surgery or weight loss (It's hard when you have no support system), whatever.
More writing. Gotta get back into it. RPing maybe?
Less occupation with sex.
More gaming!
Work on my mental issues.

Less sex and more gaming? I must say, that is a highly original resolution.
