I didn't find out people thought of me like that until graduation day. This guy I've known since kindergarten told me while we were waiting to cross the stage. I was completely ignored in high school. No one ever spoke to me except my three friends. Bullying for me happened in fifth grade. I was lucky in that it didn't continue into middle school.

I had one asshole who terrorized me through the majority of school since I moved to Kansas in 4th grade. Years later, in high school, on one occasion, I had even punched him in the face to shut him up (it worked for about 2 months). What made him stop was an occasion in which my pacifism, sarcasm and apathy of his anger (The little hypocritical shit he was had him always making fun of me and mocking me when my short fuse went off) caused him to nearly punch me in the face before one of his friends managed to convince him that it wasn't worth it. It was probably because he finally realized how worthless it makes you feel to be laughed at in anger (trust me, I have plenty of experience on the subject all the way to being suspended from school for two days for disrupting classes because two little fucking wigger sheeple thought it was so humorous that I was angry. It still pisses me off that NONE of the fuckers ever got punished for their attitudes.) That one person's bullshit is the only bullshit in my entire life I will NEVER forgive. You don't terrorize someone for a good 6 years and expect them to forgive you. It was people like him that caused my blood to boil as easily as it does.
Hell, it recently occurred to me that I was probably amongst the students many were afraid were going to come to school with an assault rifle and shoot up the place. By my senior year, I was well known as a metalhead (whenever music came up and I mentioned anything, people usually would respond with "no one wants to listen to your death metal shit" despite my general dislike of black metal, which is what most people at my school thought was called death metal and was what all metal was) had longish hair (shorter than I have now, though), was a proud geek and video game player and my aforementioned short temper, all this despite the fact that I was (and still am) a pacifist, had a strong opinion against scapegoating and its relation with school shootings and my refusal to hold grudges (it is amongst my personal beliefs that life is far too short to hold a grudge against anyone. Even the fucker in the first paragraph.)

I really, really hate Misty Bernall: What a cunt. I kid you not, when I heard the Cassie Bernall "story," I told all my friends "her mom is bullshitting America."

You know, this makes me glad that I graduated before Columbine. In my day, we only had to deal with drugs and gang fights (graduated in 93). If kids had a problem with each other, they met after school and had at it. Problem solved when someone was on the ground. Damn kids these days! They still duke it out wherever is good but teachers and/or police still show up because some asshat yelled there was gonna be a fight in a crowded hallway or the crowd all standing around attracts unwanted attention. They're just not that interesting. One or two punches might be thrown and that's it. Too many kids not knowing how to fight or they're trying to imitate some shit they watched on UFC the night before. In short shooting someone is more interesting to watch than two people do the same thing they saw on tv. Grade 7 I got sent out into the hallway because like I always got sent out of the room for was talking and disrupting the class. Another person was later sent out probably for the same thing or because he was an annoying waste of sperm and eggs. Over the course of what might have been an hour as I'm trying to do my work he's been nothing but an annoying waste of human life so I lunged over the desk I was sitting him and stabbed him in the chest with my pen. Broke the skin a little bit but he made a huge scene about it after a teacher walked down the hallway. I was sent back into the classroom while he stayed in the hallway. I'd be in my desk working and he'd lean into the classroom and yell I'm a psycho. The principal and vice-principal came and talked to us seperatly. I got a 5 day out of school suspenion for stabbing him and breaking the skin while he got a three day out of school suspenion. Too this day whenever I see him he still brings it up. The day it happened and I was walking home from school I told a friend of mine about it and he said I should've stabbed teh guy in the face instead of the chest.

Not saying you weren't right to stab him (wasn't there don't know the whole story etc.) but this demonstrates a problem I have with school dicpline these days. You stabbed him and he gets three days. You know what, I'll go for the extra two and pound you into a fucking pulp that the janitor is going to need a squeegy for. If I'm already in trouble for being attacked, I've got nothing to loose by esclating the violence. If anything, it's in my best interest to beat the living hell out of the person so they don't think of me as a good choice to start shit with in the future.

I'm not sure about the schools you guys went to, but mine had a few groups of "students" that were constantly spending days in detention for being idiots, skipping class, bullying (one case to the point of accidentally killing another student to receive a minor penalty), fighting and pretty much anything you can think of. They'd regularly spend time out of school on suspension every year, the only reason they didn't risk getting expelled is because their parents would disown them and they'd have nowhere to go. The problem is, they didn't care if they were kicked out of school otherwise. How is suspension a "punishment" if it just gives them permission not to show up at school?

Hell, all I did during those five days was stay home and play on the computer. The other guy got suspended the day after he got back which was no surprise to anyone as he was suspended on a weekly basis.

How is suspension a "punishment" if it just gives them permission not to show up at school? I have no idea, in fact, I looked forward to it a couple of times. It should say something that my test grades didn't suffer when I wasn't in class for a week. But for some reason I was labeled an idiot, rather than bored and dangerous.

...bullying (one case to the point of accidentally killing another student to receive a minor penalty).. Wait, what? What's the story on this? An acquaintance of mine got bullied through high school. He had a habit of acting tough so they used that to try to get him to challenge them to a fight for an excuse to kick his ass. When he finally gave in to shut them up, they ended up killing him because of his heart condition. The killer ended up with 3 months of house arrest and 6 months of probation because he was a minor (16). The verdict pisses me off because 1) 16 is by far old enough to know what you're doing and 2) accident or not, that "punishment" is a fucking slap on the wrist for killing someone.

I was bullied throughout public school. Thankfully though the highschool I attended was rather large and it was easy to be invisible - or in my case just hide out in the library.

...bullying (one case to the point of accidentally killing another student to receive a minor penalty).. Wait, what? What's the story on this? It happened up here back in the mid 1990's too. A kid was getting bullied constantly- being beaten up, having his stuff destroyed, clothes ruined, all by this one bully. One day the bully rushes him in the gym and power slams into into a set of bleachers. Breaks the kids neck and causes his kidneys to fail. He died in excruciating pain while waiting for thw ambulance. Because the bully was only 17, he got sent to another school and that's it. Bullying fucking sucks. I spent 2 1/2 years being bullied by this fuckhead who liked to be the big man on campus. Eventually, since no one was doing anything to stop it, I started to act out and piss of teachers. When they sent to the guidance office, I started to name names about the people who were messing with me, including that fuckhead. Of course, since all the people I named were popular and on various sports teams and clubs, nothing was ever done, and they never stopped. Gotta love when the administration si looking out for the students. [/end sarcasm] The day I turned 16 I went to the office and requested a 'good standing' form so I could switch schools. When the VP asked why I was switching, I replyed with "Because I'm getting bullied constantly." I know she didn't believe me. She was a cunt of the biggest proportion. So I got my letter, skipped the day, registered at the public school, and spent the afternoon getting baked and eating McDonalds with some of my public school friends.

I hope Cassie Bernall's mother at least has the sense to be ashamed of herself now. Now now, that's not the fundie spirit! A "true" Christian would keep repeating the same lie in order to make atheists look like child-murderers. Absolutely. Just because the lie-bril media says it, doesn't make it true. Or, as they may say, makes it not true. Marc
