I could say a lot, but really, I fell in love with the girl who would become my wife. Simple, yet so effective.

Don't have time to read the whole thread, which I like to do but I'll come back.
All my life I said that I was "born [non-denominational] Protestant but I don't really believe in god". When I was 13 (I only turned 14 in the beginning of 2008's summer) I decided I wanted to learn more about religion and strengthen my relationship with god. I started looking on the internet at things about religion and I eventually came across atheism, which I don't think I had heard of before. I read a bit about it and realized that I was an atheist, not just disbelieving in god but actively learning about religion and figuring stuff out about it, and knowing the very specific reason for which I disbelieve in god, rather than just knowing I don't believe in it.

Because of my Aspergers, I was profoundly literal as a child and believed everything I was told. My mum removed me from RE because I believed that Jonah really was in the whale. I went from Church of England to vaguely Christian to Baha'i to vaguely Wiccan to outright pantheist to Celtic/Norse pagan with some Buddhist, Hindu and Deist leanings.
