I use a netbook and some rather... strange font settings (default font size is 16 because I am visually impaired). Reading threads and replying in the forum thus require excessive amounts of horizontal scrolling. I think this is the culprit: <textarea rows="5" cols="100" name="message" accesskey="q"> Can this maybe be changed?
TIA!

If I did, the font would be unreable, which would defeat the point of going to a forum. (mutters to self: Why do people always think my settings are arbitrary when I spend quite a time on them). And glory to you for making fun of the visually impaired. It feels good to read that. But then, apparently I do not deserve to use the internet...

Sorry, I said that I have to scroll excessively to read it, because of my settings, not that I cannot read it. And I heard too many jokes/stupid comment about my disability lately.

Uhh, libertyprime this area of the forum is for reporting errors and bugs to Distind. You are not Distind, you do not need to reply here. All you are doing is spamming and rather blatently at that (considering this isn't the first thread you have spammed here). You cannot effect any change on this board nor is it your job to even worry about doing so.
STFU and stay out of this forum unless you find a bug in the board. Maybe the mods had not noticed what you are doing yet but now that I have publicly bitched about it I am sure that they have. Go spam in the NSFW forum it is even encouraged there, sort of. Now kindly please GTFO troll...

Honestly, there isn't that much I can do with the code for the forums.
And yea, I'm aware. If someone wishes to take it up with me do so being aware I am the reason he's back and I'm vastly annoyed with the reaction of a few of the community members.

Would a client-side style sheet help? Something like
textarea {width: 400px; !important }
I'm not sure off-hand if it would work when the textarea in question has in HTML width attribute rather than CSS, but it might be worth a try.

I knew how to set something like that up in Konqueror, but I have no idea how to do it here in FF let alone Kazehakase, my backup browser.
Edit: Switching the stylesheet off seemed to have helped.

The user-CSS file for Firefox is <profile>/chrome/userContent-example.css Rename it to userContent.css, put in the CSS to fix the textbox size, and re-start Firefox. There is sure to be a FF extension that would make it easier. This looks pretty useful: www.squarefree.com/userstyles/
