There isn't a song that actually makes me cry, but Frank Zappa's, Watermelon in Easter Hay can make me heave a huge sigh. I was going to mention the same thing. One of the most beautiful "Guitar Songs" ever.

Like they used Iggy pop's "Lust for Life" (about heroin addiction) in a commercial for a bank. And a cruise line.

Songs in them self, no. However adjoined to a video yes. For example Drive by the Cars when watching Live Aid. The song that goes "Something inside so strong" (Labi Sifre (sic) with footage of the Israeli attack on Beirut.) Oh I know of an exception. Imagine by John Lennon, more so after his death. He was/is a great Hero of mine. even despite his issues.

Now that I think of it, 'In my Life' don't ask me why it just does.

It's a remix of "Stones" from the Ultima series done by one Grotto Dragon. Anyone that's played Ultima for as long as I have (going on 16 years now) can see why.

Uh, quite a bit of the MJ catalog, right now.
Crap.
Does this mean I'm a fangirl?

I just thought of another song, Hallelujah. You know, "I heard there was a secret chord/ that David played and it pleased the lord/ but you don't really care for music do you..."

I didn't post videos of the songs I named because I'm a lazy bastard.
So here they are.

All from Doctor Who (I bought the Series 1 & 2 OST about a week or two ago):
I'm Coming To Get You Hologram The Face Of Boe Madam de Pompadour Doomsday (my favorite from the soundtrack)
and from Series 4, A Dazzling End (I don't have this soundtrack yet though).
Not so much the songs themselves but associating them with their respective episodes... damn, Doctor Who can be a real tear-jerker at times.
