I want them to come to me and try to personally convert me to Chrisitanity.
Ironbite-should be hilarious when I beat them with their own bibles.

I know for a few weeks I've been rather inactive here...but I never noticed we had a troll, especially one getting under people's skin. Weird.

To all you lurkers out there, believers and non believers, welcome. Feel free to look around and you don't need to be shy. We welcome you to join us. This is a wonderful place to fellowship and to learn. Now, if your here to join and troll, I warn you, many folks here can spot a troll from their first post. Lets see if that is true, I just registered.

"To all you lurkers out there, believers and non believers, welcome. Feel free to look around and you don't need to be shy. We welcome you to join us." Liar. I doubt there's a single atheist, agnostic, hindu, Buddhist, muslim, or indeed anyone that follows anything other than their own narrow brand of evangelical southern baptist Christianity that's been "welcome" to join them. They've all been banned, left of their own accord or chased off by rabid rapturites who seem to think it's ok to indulge in ad-hominem attacks, deliberately misrepresenting another's position, using strawman tactics, placing an impossible burden of proof on others while refusing to provide any evidence whatsoever to support their own position, stating lies as fact and ignoring or dismissing all evidence to the contrary, and generally acting like an asshole on the internet. OK to do all these things as long as you've determined the lucky visitor isn't a True Christian (tm), of course. Go on, proove me wrong. Show me one such person who's been welcomed in. The truth is, anyone who within their first few posts deviates even slightly from the board opinion is labelled "troll" and attacked in a, well, distinctly un-Christ like manner. You're even driving off other conservative Christians. What does that say about how welcoming your board is? Truth. I was an RR member from years ago before the board overhaul and the institution of Buzzardhut as a moderator. As my beliefs changed I stopped posting for a long time, but then came back to post in apologetics. I was eventually banned in 2007. Not that this was told to others- my account doesn't even say read only- so as to make it look like I simply didn't come back to post. No big deal to me, really. They make the rules and I've moved on. Their board ceased to be a fit for me long ago. However, I do not respect their underhandedness at all. Some of the mods are very deceitful. I received my first infraction for stating that salvation is corporate and not individual and I was told that the infraction was specifically because this view was insulting to other members. My second infraction came for publicly mentioning the first one (mea culpa). My third infraction and ban (supposedly only for one week) was for stating that the Church is a hospital for sinners and I was told in my ban e-mail that it isn't. I even found the thread in question again: www.rr-bb.com/showthread.php?t=12995

I feel like this isn't exactly a lie, it's just worded very carefully to hide the truth. So, a semi-lie, I suppose you could say.
In my opinion, what he really means to say is, "To all you lurkers out there, believers and non believers, welcome. Feel free to look around and decide you agree with us. We welcome you to join us and let us convert you into a fundie."

One of my first posts here....which is around here somewhere...was about how when I was a Christian and having doubts I went there for help and they treated me worse than shit. In retrospect I'm glad they did, because it changed my thinking on a lot of things and outed them for the hypocritical liars they really are before I could get in too deep with them. Looking back, I'm ashamed I ever went to that place for help, but at the time I didn't know any better.

Sounds like much ado about nothing. Generally the hardest of hard internet tough guys end up being massive cowards in the real world. It's pretty easy to sit online and stroke your own ego. Word to the wise though, if your not paying attention things might just go off in your face, (pun intended). There's an excessive amount of self love going on in MrMann's world, completely overshadowing any actual love for Jesus. Guess that's one less crown or gold star. I can't remember how God keeps track of who he loves the most. Maybe banana stickers. </metalocalypse>
These RR folks seem to conveniently forget about phrases like "what you do for the least of these" in trade for a heap of wrathful thoughts, pride and commandment breaking, i.e. though shalt not lie and/or thou shalt not bear false witness. Toxic faith at it's finest and most entertaining.
Edit: Something to think about for any RR lurkers. “Be not like the hypocrites, for they love to pray in the temples and standing on the street corners where they may be seen by men and thought holy.” -Jesus (Mathew 6:5)

Sugarfreejazz: I LOVED that episode!
Also, I think my account has been deleted. I tried to log in to look at Lesigh's link, & it said my username & password were invalid. Twice.
I'll starve to death without troll chow. :.(
*Ahem.*
Snidely posted mostly in Mr. Mann gets a Blog with woefully transparent ego stroking. That's where he revealed himself, too. He also posted in either I'm in RR or Hack RR Mods, challenging another of our trolls after his revelation. Then he made a post in Most Dangerous Gay Bashers, where he said, "Add Mr. Mann," then made the stupid mistake of linking to his blog post on Michael Jackson.
Had anyone been paying attention, they could've spotted 50 problems with that post, not the least of which being that pedophile=/=gay.
I think that's it. But yeah, if it's not against the board's privacy policy, or anything like that, I'd like to see where he lurked, as well.

How can you be a troll if you don't actually post?
Do they even know what a troll is?

How can you be a troll if you don't actually post? Do they even know what a troll is? The one that said they stir shit up had the basic idea. But the mods? No. I think trolling isn't very well-recognized universally, but some places see the "troll" label as a very convenient way of getting rid of an unwanted member. RR mods take that to an extreme.
