It occurs to me that the operative words here are "appears to be." I followed the link you provided and the print does resemble that of a human hand. But if you'll compare the hand held beside it, the "fingers" on the print are proportionally shorter and the palm proportionally larger than that of the hand in the photo as well as most humans.
It looks to me more like a dinosaur footprint than a human hand print. I see nothing to cast doubts on evolutionary science. It's interesting, yes, but not that much.

I looked through half the photos. They're interesting. Are they original photos? Have the items been reviewed by multiple independent groups? Scientist can be fooled, they have a bias.

I've heard of some of these things before.
The Ica Stones, in particular, I'm reasonably certain were proved to be a hoax...perhaps I'll wiki them later.
What is the theme of fthis gallery, anyway?

This site has a number of links that contain very good information for refuting humans and dino tracks, handprints, and other very bad creationist arguements.

[citation needed]Oh wait, they did cite their sources: this church's website. I like how most of those sources are dated between the 1500s and 1800s, and a smattering of citations between 1910 and 1950. I guess we just became a lot better at covering up the evolution conspiracy after 1972.

To be honest, the first thing that came to mind was time travel.

Of course! That explains everything! Someone in the future went back and stepped on the wrong butterfly, thus leading to the rise of religious fundamentalism and Shrub!

1. The grooved spheres. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klerksdorp_SpheresSeems Geologists think they're natural. 2. The Dropa Stones skepticwiki.org/index.php/Dropa_StonesThe earliest mention of the story is in Erich von Däniken's infamous 1968 book, Chariots of the Gods. The disks were supposed to be stored in several museums in China. None of these museums have any traces of these disks, nor can any be found of the ones supposedly sent to USSR for analysis. 3. The Ica Stones www.skepdic.com/icastones.htmlSince Cabrera's stones come from some mystery cave which has never been identified, much less excavated, there is no way to date them. 4. The Antikythera Mechanism en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antikythera_mechanismThis one seems to be real. But I'm not sure how it proves things not being dated correctly as it has been dated to 100-150BC. 5. The Baghdad Battery en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baghdad_BatteryAgain, how does this prove the world is only thousands of years old? Nobody seems to know what it was used for, maybe it was used for plating, maybe it was used to prove the existence of God. Who the hell knows. 6. The Coso Artifact en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coso_artifactStromberg and Heinrich's report[1] indicates the spark plug became encased in a concretion composed of iron derived from the rusting spark plug. It is typical of iron and steel artifacts to rapidly form iron oxide concretions around them as they rust in the ground.[3] Seems, it's another one that's disappeared and can't be verified. 7. Ancient Model Aircraft www.badarchaeology.net/data/ooparts/aeroplanes.phpSeems it depends on what you want to see. Although it took me a long time to find a non-ufo site that even mentioned them. 8. Giant Stone Balls of Costa Rica web.ku.edu/~hoopes/balls/intro.htm9. Impossible Fossils Sorry, can't find anything on this except on biblical and conspiracy theory sites. Would be easier if I had exact things to look up, since it seems there's lots of hand prints and frozen fingers out there. 10. Out-of-Place Metal Objects Again, I'm only finding fundie and UFO sites even mentioning this. I'll do a little more searching, but I'm not sure what I can find.

About the "hand" imprint, do they really think a human mosied along and purposefully spread and pressed their misshapen hand into the ground in order to make that print? I mean, we did that with concrete, but not limestone or shit, and it doesn't really look like a human's hand.

It's a Fundie staple to not know how fossilization works, along with evolution, & damn near every other process in the universe, real or imagined*. *="How does God create?"/"He just does."

Probably as important is "Why does God create?" But that's a totally different discussion.
More fundie "theories." /thread
