Wow, who has the money to spend to put their pet fish through surgery?

That's an unexpected answer to get when you ask the hot chick at the party what she does for a living: "Oh, I am a goldfish surgeon." But what's the point? In my experience, pet fish hardly do anything other than dying. I have to admit my experience is limited, and I know fish in nature can grow very old.

As a kid I had goldfish that lived for years, about 7 or so. As an adult I've never been able to keep any type of fish alive longer than a few weeks. Nothing like going to sleep one night and everything is fine, only to wake up the next morning and have a tank full of floaters.

Why if you had $14,000 to piss away, would you get a fish?

Indubitably, my dear Watson.

Now I'm all for enthusiasm, and I can understand the pleasure of collecting, but honestly...meh, you know my attitude. Fish is food!

Jesus, buy a fucking robot fish. The least that can do is run out of batteries. Or, you know, explode.

Comet is a kickass name for a goldfish.

I always wanted a Koi Pond, but I sure as hell wouldn't pay $14,000 on a fish. The most I ever spent was around $150 when I had a salt water tank. Right now I have a Betta named Frunobulax that cost $2.99. I spent more on a small tank for him than he cost.
