A BBC documentary about a 13 year old British evangelical Christian. Although they seem pretty fundamental, at 40 minutes in Debbie has come across as intelligent, if opinionated. The main source of her fundamentalism seems to be not being exposed to much in the way of alternative beliefs. At this point she's going to visit her older brother's Uni. friends. Will keep you posted.

Well. Towards the end a fixation with death, hell, sin, etc... really started to come through quite heavily. While she would evangelise to people, she didn't seem to come across too strongly at first, although interviews later with these people showed they often felt awkward.
I was slightly disappointed with the fact that no-one ever tried to make her question her own beliefs. I believe that would have been very interesting. She went out to see what the real world is like (at Uni at any rate) and got a short culture shock with the thoughts "Wow! Lots of sinners, but I have to be nice" seeming to be the main thing going through her head. No one questioned the creationism, or the belief that the Bible is infallible. I would have liked to see it.
Well worth a watch, though, for a snapshot into the fundie psyche.

I couldn't watch it on the BBC website, as I don't live in the UK, but I found it on YouTube and just finished watching it. It depressed me more than anything else.
