Has there ever been one worth watching? I'm just curious because they seem to all follow the same formula: "terrible actors + weak, incoherent script + embarassing CGI."

Admittedly no.
But that doesn't stop me from watching them.

Do you mean to ask whether there are any good ones? Then the answer is no. Whether or not they're worth watching is a COMPLETELY different question. And the answer there is yes.

If MST3K has taught us nothing, it's that movies like that are frequently worth watching (though not for reasons the film's creators and cast intended). ...Mansquito.

I actually enjoyed Children of Dune, Dune itself was bad though. Then again I haven't seen a good Dune movie (and don't you dare say the one with Kyle McLachlan was good - it was terrible ) They even had Kate Winslet in the cast for the Children of Dune (and she was not very good). But the music was well done and effects were acceptable for the budget they had.

There are a serious select few I'll watch, and only then if someone I like is in it.
What mystifies me is how Sci-Fi can do good serieses (the Stargate franchise, BSG), good miniserieses (I still haven't managed to watch 'The Triangle' all the damn way through) ... and the two-hour movies suck sewage treatment plant water backwards.

Like everyone says, in this case being good doesn't make them worth watching.

a few are good for that 'there's nothing on' moment, but aside from that, it's mostly as the OP states.

As has been mentioned, there have been a couple that were so bad that they became worth watching for the humour factor. The one that springs to mind is Mammoth.
The frozen remains of, you guessed it, a mammoth become inhabited by an alien entity and runs amuck. It was so bad that it was hilarious.
Another is Dog Soliders. When shown on Scifi it was horrible. They edited it so much that it is unwatchable. In its unedited state it is one of the finest suspense/horror films out there. Well worth the time to track down on DVD.

If I remember correctly,"Tin Man" ( www.imdb.com/title/tt0910812/) was made by Sci-Fi. Fantastic concept, overall good acting, lush costuming and set design. There are cheesy bits, sure, but nothing so much as to stop it from being thouroughly enjoyable. It's a miniseries rather than a movie, though, does that count?

I had nightmares from watching Cube 2: Hypercube. They primarily revolved around being sent to a bland, clinical fantasy world where nothing makes sense and watching people die or be flash-fossilized mid-coitus for no fucking reason.
In other words, my dreams fit the plot of the movie almost exactly.
The only reason I watched it was because my dad was watching it and there was nothing good on TV that night.
On the other hand, Vampires: Los Muertos is definitely worth watching as sheer MST-fodder. Just thinking about the kid's permission note from his mother to go vampire hunting cracks me up.

Are they good? No, certainly not. Are they worth watching? That depends. Occasionally, I get in the mood for that kind of low-budget crapfest. Sci-Fi's movies are perfect if you're looking for, say, a Bruce Campbell movie. It's the same way you get in the mood for a crappy fast-food burger every now and then- no real value, but it satisfies a weird craving.
