The Ledge. It was all right. The whole atheism thing kind of felt shoehorned at parts, though. inside. One of those French extreme films. That was awesome Not a bad movie at all, but the stupidity of the cops in that film had me wanting to bang my head against the wall.

The Scorpion King. Ah such a cheesy, fun movie. It really has no right being as good as it is.
Followed immediately (fuck yeah TV schedules) by Flash Gordon (AHAAAAAAAAAAAAA! SAVIOUR OF THE UNIVERSE!). Max Von Sydow, BRIAN BLESSED and Timothy Dalton? What's not to love?
Cue the Queen \m/.

The original Star Wars trilogy on TV.
I saw the tail-end of Return of the Jedi earlier today. GTFO emo Anakin.

Return of the Jedi is one of the best SW movies, but that may be because: 1. I'm Palpatine fan girl 2. Force/Sith Lightning is a awesome power 3. EWOKS!!!

The Call of Cthulu. Pretty cool to see a modern movie done in black and white silent movie style and it conveys the style of the story well.

Max Payne. One of the best comedies made in recent years.

Rock-A-Doodle because we were talking about it in the IRC and I found out it was on Netflix. It was... definitely as weird as what i remember.

The Call of Cthulu. Pretty cool to see a modern movie done in black and white silent movie style and it conveys the style of the story well. Is that the DVD? Watch the outtakes; some are a trip. "All I wanted were Sun Chips, but I kept seeing the BLACK SKY OF RYLEH!" (As the actor playing the shrink fights to maintain his composure.)

Nah, I saw it on Netflix streaming, so I couldn't see the outtakes. That sounds really funny though.
Watched Take Me Home Tonight last night. It was okay, although totally predictable.

Star Wars: A New Hope(1977) I haven't watched it in awhile, so I decided to watch it tonight. We all already know how awesome the movie is so. I will say Tarkin is one of the most underrated Star Wars villians, how can one not love a smug bastard played by Peter Cushing???

Godfather and Godfather 2. Absolutely brilliant. Amazing cast, genius cinematography, brilliant plot, deep literary themes, perfect pacing, beautiful editing. They are the film equivalent of great text literature. Best movies I've ever seen.
What struck me was that they never use extended scenes of violence. And the scenes they do use are built-up. No unnecesary slaughter here.

Enter the Void. Fucking hell that's one trippy movie. It's like Requiem for a Dream, drugs pretty well fucking everyone over, depressing, and fairly visceral.
