Just caught a showing of the new "TRON" flick. (In 2D. The Sandman gets a wicked headache from 3D movies. Plus, you know, all the colors get washed out and dim in 3D.) Not a bad movie, really. Entertaining eye candy for the most part, and Jeff Briges' outstanding performance in what is essentially a triple role makes it very watchable.... ....but.... The Sandman has one important tip that will make the movie much, much better. It's a simple thing really. At the end of the movie, when Sam Flynn is just about to walk out of Flynn's Arcade....STAND UP AND WALK QUICKLY OUT OF THE THEATER. You will not miss anything of any importance, but what you WILL miss is something that, quite frankly, will make the movie much better for having missed it. I'm not going to say what it is...that would be a spoiler, but if anyone really wants to know just PM me. I caught it in 3D yesterday. I remain to be impressed by 3D technology however. Though I did think it was a nice touch how the real world scenes were filmed in 2D and the Grid scenes in 3D. But yeah shininess. And Jeff Bridges. And irritating final scene.

Watched Zach and Miri Make a Porno a while back. I must say it was one of the funniest fucking things I've ever seen. The actors did a bang up job too. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Uhoh, I'm going to see Tron tonight. How badly will I rage at the ending? Now I'm all curious.

I watched Hot Tub Time Machine. It was alright- definitely not the best movie I've ever seen, and the girlfriend from back in the 80s made me want to throw something at the television screen, but the ending was amazing.

What the fuck does a good summation of the ending. I was all fine with it up to the point where Alan is talking. Then the unneeded what the fuck kicked in.
Other than that it was enjoyable, albeit a bit light on plot. But the special effects make up for that. Also I'm a total nerd, so I liked that they were using a Unix like operating system, they even showed some real commands.

Thanks to Sim I watched The Gay Bed and Breakfast of Terror, or the giant walking stereotype (assless chaps and all). So terrible it's funny.
Highlights included:
whispering "mincemeat muffins" on the phone adult using water wings in the pool psycho scribbling with red pen and saying "George W" over and over angry preppy boyfriend "YOU RIPPED MY SWEATER" the republican shrine

Went to see True Grit with some friends today.
Easily the best movie I've seen all year. Seriously, if you get the chance, GO SEE IT. Well worth the $11 I had to pay at the price-gouging movie theater near my friend's house. It was just excellent.

Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader; really pretty cool! I guess I had forgotten how most of the book went.

Uhoh, I'm going to see Tron tonight. How badly will I rage at the ending? Now I'm all curious. I loved it. An while the final scene was ever so slightly glurgy, I didn't mind it. What was "WTF" about it? Great film. As I have said elsewhere. Jeff Bridges, wow.

I love Duck Soup. It's one of the classics that I sadly don't own yet.
