Watched Zombieland last night. You know a movie's gonna be good when it opens with Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" ;D Before that, the new Alice in Wonderland.

A Face in the Crowd
Like looking at Glenn Beck in the 50s.

A Face in the Crowd Like looking at Glenn Beck in the 50s. That is the reason Keith Olbermann used to refer to Beck as "Lonesome Rhodes" after Andy Griffith's character.

Pink Flamingos, I went from to :x throughout the whole film. I'll never be able to listen to Surfin' Bird again without the image of a dude playing with his butt in my head thanks to a scene.

Cruising Al Pacino goes undercover to find a serial killer targeting gay men. The film actually drew protests from gay activists worried it would further stir up feelings of homophobia and cause violence against gay men.

The Cocoanuts(1929) Been wanting to see this movie for awhile, I love the Marx Bros. The Woman Accused (1932) I can never look at Cary Grant the same way again... It's fun to see Cary open up a can of whoop-ass.

The Eagle. Fairly good but I would have preferred the Romans not to have an American accent and the 'savages' (Celts, Gaels, etc.,) not to have the 'wonky' accent.

Got a couple of movies on Friday: Wrong Turn 2: Dead End and Splice. Wrong Turn 2: Dead End was made entertaining by decent action sequences, loads of gore, mutant cannibals fapping, and HENRY ROLLINS, who is made of pure awesome. Just, I thought this guy was cool as fuck from his standup routines, but in this movie he's so fucking badass he will break your Badass Meter because its needle will constantly over on the "Pure Fucking Badass" side ALL. THE. TIME.
Splice was disturbing and kind of depressing. The science in it is pretty bogus, but at the end of the day that's not really what it's about -- it's more of a metaphor for parents who create children for the wrong reasons and then end up abusing them because the parents haven't dealt with their own psychological problems.

Just finished watching Antichrist, and all I can say is what the fuck? Seriously disturbing. The acting and cinematography are excellent. I never want to see a deer, a fox, or a crow again. Too bad the ending doesn't make much sense.
