I was wondering about everyone's thoughts on this. Which fundie is doing the most damage to the moral fabric of society and/or our laws? Who do you think has the largest impact on spreading hate, opposing scientific inquiry and supressing civil rights? If you're not from America, feel free to vote anyway and discuss American fundies or talk about which fundies are negatively affecting your country ;D
Go ahead and vote, and let off some steam.

I don't mean to be a stickler for details, but Rush Limbaugh isn't really a Fundie, just a radio show host with solid Right opinions, and a habit of making fun of Liberals. He has to appeal to Conservatives and Fundies alike in a secular talk format.
I would say James Dobson has the most influence, now.

To that I say: “If you don’t believe in God, you have no meaning in your life, and you will thus search for meaning, and you will find it anywhere. Most people, even atheists, want religion of some kind in their life. Hello, global warming, as a substitute—apparently unrecognized and not even organized—religion. Yet it is. So you can set the stage for more people, if the atheists were to ever get their way, of establishing global warming as an unofficial religion that does force people to behave in religious ways, just to a false god: the earth, a tangible god… The global warming people essentially are atheists. You cannot believe in the God of Creation and believe manmade global warming. You just can’t. You might run around and say, ‘I don’t want to destroy God’s creation.’ God’s laughing at you. You can’t! He could, but you can’t. You can’t create it; you can’t destroy it.” —Rush Limbaugh

Also, you need to have Glenn Beck and/or Joel Rosenberg/burg up there as I think Joel takes the cake since he is yet to piss of any sector of fundie-land.

Never heard of Joel Rosenberg until you mentioned him. He's definately a loon, but he seems like a less famous version of Tim LaHaye & Jerry B. Jenkins.

I'm not convinced Rush is actually a Fundie. I think he's pandering to a group that'll support him.

I still think Limbaugh is categorically, not a Fundie. He has to play to a certain part of his audience. I think he wrote one chapter on abortion in his first book, years ago, and what he can be quoted on, in terms of God or religion or whatever, would not fill another book.
I'm sure I've heard Fundies say that they wish Rush would accept Jesus as his personal lord and savior, thinking that he could do better things - whatever that would be.
Glenn Beck is a sensationalist douchebag. He doesn't know Revelation from Brave New World.

Well, I think whether or not he actually believes the pro-Christian fundamentalist bullshit he spews is a different story. I could call into question whether or not George W. Bush believes what he said about God, but I believe he should be classified as a "fundie" because of what he says and the effect his words have. That's my personal criteria anyway

Is it just me, or is everyone voting for something nobody else has just to even things out?

Is it just me, or is everyone voting for something nobody else has just to even things out? I dunno, just pick whoever you want for whatever reason. I picked a bunch just so I could cover a lot of choices and if I left anything out I apologize

Is it just me, or is everyone voting for something nobody else has just to even things out? Probably not, they are all fundie at some point, and therefore equally dangerous. This is sort of like locking you in a room with pre-wired TnT, grenades, landmines, C4, claymores. and a nuke and then asking you which you fear the most. "Well....uhh...all of them?"... BOOM

Personally I fear the landmine the most because it's the only one I don't know how to disarm. Same goes with fundies, except fundies don't scare me to begin with.

I picked Fred Phelps. And it looks like I am the only one too. To me, all the others pale in comparison to the batshittery that is Fred Phelps. He's like the SUPER Fundie, whether they like it or not. A lot of Fundies still have the sense to be disgusted by him but what they don't understand is that Phelps is just basically your average Fundie times a thousand. He's taken a Fundie worldview and bloowwwwn it way up. We only see the picketing of the funerals and the gay bashing, but I bet if they did a full-on interview of the idiot, he'd share basically the same views as your standard Fundie. Taking a short visit over to his site, you see the same rhetoric "Obama is the AntiChrist, America is Doomed" bullshit.
Also, personally, I think he is absolutely batshit motherfucking insane. And closeted.
