My Dog just died, just a couple of hours ago. We don't know what happened, I took him to the vet this morning because he seemed to be lethargic, by this afternoon he was having difficulty breathing, and about 5 O'clock, the vet phoned me to tell me had passed on. I'm really pretty upset. I know everyone loves their own dog, but this guy was my first ever dog, I got him when I was 23, and he's been with me during some very hard times. He was the most beautiful person, kind, loving, gentle... I have photos of him nuzzling my daughter when she was only a couple of weeks old, and in fact, when her mother was pregnant with her, there was an incident when my 20 kg dog stood between my pregnant partner and an 800 kg bull that he decided was getting to close. He barked and growled and stared the bull down until it went in the other direction. so it wasn't just that he was friendly, he was really loving and devoted. I'm sure that many people have had dogs as good, but no one has ever had one better.

I'm very sorry for the pain and lose that I know you feel. I have had many dogs but that still doesn't make it easier. They are great loving friends who never fail you when you need a warm hug or simply knowing someone is happy you are home again.
My condolences to you and your family. ausador

Oo that is really sad, he looked like a nice dog i like it when they smile in pictures. I was a mess when my childhood dog died we got him when I was 6 and he died when I was 22 - I was away at the time so I did not even get to say goodbye. My sincere condolences

What a beautiful dog he was. I'm sorry for your loss. I have a 3 year old Pug that is like an extension of myself, we're so close. I dunno what I would do should anything happen.
You and your family are in my thoughts.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's never easy, no matter if it's your first dog or fifth. It's like losing a member of your family. I feel for you and offer my condolences.

I'm really sorry about that. That really is a beautiful dog and as a dog person myself I really feel for you. I used to have a dog but since I moved to Sydney and my mother to Canberra we've had to give her to a friend up in Hervey Bay. I still see her on occasion but I still miss her and when I do see her she is noticeably less energetic than last time so it's like I can see her time running out...
So yeah, my condolences. Losing a pet is really difficult.

I'm sorry. He was a gorgeous dog. I just lost a baby goat that I had bottle fed for over two months, so I know how it feels. It doesn't matter if they aren't people, it can be just as bad as loosing a person.

I like animals more than humans most of the time. I'm sorry for your loss. Gorgeous dog, too.
