Is the copyright page missing, then? Haven't gotten it into my hot little hands just yet (seller is in Seattle, I am in Chicago). The seller informs me that it was published in 1919. I'm just seriously hoping that the condition matches the pictures and description, but it wasn't so prohibitively expensive that I'll be too put out if it doesn't (unless it's trashed). I'm not buying it to resell for profit, after all, but rather to give to my wife as a gift since Alice is her favorite story. Ok, finally got this the other day. There is a small rip on the front cover and the pages are (expectedly) brittle, but overall it's in very nice condition and will look very good on our bookshelf. Also, picked up a boxed set of the first four Song of Fire and Ice series, currently on Clash of Kings. Very good read, I am enjoying it even more than the show!

I've got the penguin paperback of The Prince. About half way through, getting lectured on what I will get blamed and praised for when I become a Prince. In other books related news I have finished The Three Musketeers and have moved onto The Count of Monte Cristo. Why didn't you move on to Twenty Years After after the first d'Artagnan Romance novel? Because I don't have that one and haven't had the time to find it. Might as well have look now though.

Finished reading the Year Of Rogue Dragons trilogy. Bought the whole series compiled into one novel, sectioned by each book. Very satisfying fantasy read.
My girlfriend recently bought me The Sight, and I'm probably going to start reading that next.

As an addendum to my previous post I'm halfway thru Billions and Billions. I then want to read Pale Blue Dot, the Cosmic Connection, comet, then finally Contact.
I have until the 18th of this month or else I have to recheck them out. I want to try to get the rest later.

I'm half way through Game of Thrones. Sometimes it feels like I accidently got an erotic fiction book.

I just started reading Death Star, it's a Star Wars novel I checked out of the local library. I used to read Star Wars novels all the time, but I just stopped reading them, and books to begin with, for some reason...

Demons Don't Dream by Piers Anthony, and finishing off th Age of Misrule trilogy at the same time.
Let me just say, it is a huge nostalgia trip to see the command "A:\" again after all these years.

So, I'm a little over half way through, and Vypernight, you're right it is a great book so far.
I do have to nickpick about something...but this a more general nickpick about most Star Wars novels that feature the character of Admiral Daala, why do the authors have to keep on insisting that she did everything "by her own merit", when that 's possibly the biggest bunch bs, given the fact that they make it more than obvious what her & Grand Moff Tarkin are up to(insert sex joke here)??

That's not the gripe I have with Daala. I have the gripe that the authors had to make her a miserable admiral even though she was the only known female admiral.
