Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I should like some advice, please....
I have never used an avatar before - and am somewhat worried that if I simply find a picture (I want to use the red dragon of Wales) it will be too big (the ones I find on line are at least 300 x 400 pixels).
If I limit the size to the required 100 x100 limit, how will that affect the image? Do I just link the URL from Google Images or what?

A relatively simple way to create an avatar:
1. Find an image you like via Google images or Yahoo or whatever 2. Save it to your computer 3. Resize it to 100 x 100 or the closest equivalent you can get without messing up the height/width ratio. I like using Irfanview for this. (Irfanview's pretty cool anyway) 4. Upload resized image to an image-hosting server like Imageshack.us 5. Link the URL from wherever you uploaded it to.
I still need to make an avatar myself, but I'm pretty sure that will work.
EDIT: yep, that worked.
