I'm an atheist, my sister is a fundie. We had the same father and were treated about the same, so can they explain this?

I think that's a load of crap myself. My dad and I are more close together and he's a christian.

It's hilarious that the people who literally call their imaginary friend "Father" are saying _we_ have daddy-issues. It's the same BS pop-psych they claim "causes" homosexuality, too.

She was jealous. Personally I think my father hated kids, and only got married and had kids because that's what he was supposed to do. He's kind of big on public image.

Funny it's actually the other way around. She was jealous. ;D And so another fundie argument gets kicked squarely in the nuts and danced upon by a hippo wearing soccer cleats while it's writhing on the ground wondering what happened. Somehow that doesn't surprise me.

I have a bad relationship with my father. I'm not atheist, although I have a... unique perspective on my religious beliefs.
He's not an atheist, either. Religion doesn't even factor into our bad relationship.
The problem is that he's lazy about relationships... and I'm pretty sure he owns property in Narnia while I'm open about myself.

My dad is an atheist too. We get along reasonably well, although we do argue. I'm an atheist because my parents raised me to use my brain and also to respect science.
And if a teacher at my college blatantly ridiculed Christianity (or any other religion) they would be fired. And rightly so.
