I don't quite get it. I've never used IRC before and I have no idea how to use it now.

Hah! I wonder what happened with the previuos one. I am willing to return to the channel though if there will be less abuse of power.

Ok, I'm a little behind here: did the old one die too?

do you have to download something to use this one? Mibbit runs directly in your browser, no download required (unless you don't have flash for some bizarre arsed reason). Makes it awesome for those not very computer literate, or who use public computers.

Hmm... that reminds me... I should probably link to Mibbit in the first post... *goes to fix that* EDIT: Fixed. The website for Mibbit is now linked to the word "Mibbit". It's all logical like that.

I don't quite get it. I've never used IRC before and I have no idea how to use it now. If you go through the link I've now placed in the first post to Mibbit (which is browser-based, meaning you don't have to download anything), hopefully the instructions I've provided are simple enough to follow so you can connect to the channel. If not, let me know and I'll PM you a step-by-step with screenshots. Once you are connected, ask any questions you like about how to navigate the various commands and whatnot (how to emote, how to change colors, how to do private chat, etc) and one of the mods and/or one of the more experienced users will be more than happy to explain what they know. We're a community like that.

Registered, what time are people normally on?

I'm often on when I'm awake. When I'm awake varies from day to day, so no matter what your schedule you'll likely see me from time to time. As for when others are normally on, well, I've not paid much attention, as the time of day doesn't matter to much to me most the time. ^_^;

I'm on pretty much any time I'm not at work or asleep (barring other circumstances, such as being out of the house). Thusly:
Mon-Thurs: 2/3ish PM to 6:15 PM, 11:30ish PM to 7/8ish AM Fri: 2ish PM to 3:45 PM, 12:30ish to 7/8ish AM Sat-Sun: 2/3ish PM to 7/8ish AM
(All times EST.)
These are all times you'll be able to find me online, for anything. AIM, IRC, MSN, whatever.

According to the usage graph someone made, it looks like I'm on... all the time. Erg. I'm never not really there when I'm on either... and am sometimes on for stretches of 20 - 46 hours in a stretch... and if you ever see me do that please kick me in the face and make me go to bed. >.<

I feel like I'm on all the time. Except this week. But next week, I'll be there.

I'd say you're doing it wrong. Should've looked like this before you clicked "Go": Of course, "mynick" should be whatever you want to call yourself.
