My former flatmate and landlord used to be a bit of a fixture here. He dragged me in to it. Actually, he dragged me into debating fundies over on Christian Forums, and FSTDT is my outlet valve for when I find mindblowingly retarded posts over there.

It should be noted that the fundie was retired military, while the gay is STILL in active service (Navy). Gay man in the Navy? I'm shocked. What? Someone had to say it. Encyclopedia Dramatica, if I recall correctly. I was reading the article about Christianity on ED (Hey, I'm not proud) and they had a link here. Fellow ED migrants!

I was hunting for some extreme Christian quotes to spice up a Bible Study course I was preparing. (Confession: I really wanted to spark controversy, start an argument, and then sit back and enjoy the show.) I found a few things on Snopes, then spotted FSTFT. I started reading the quotes pages, then followed the link into the forums. FSTDT has become my daily fix of religious idiocy which, I hope, helps to keep my feet firmly on the ground.

It is not fair. I do not eat sheep but they all hate me just because I am Welsh.

My pet monkey was randomly typing one afternoon (he was bored) and came up with "Hamlet" and FSDTD. It took him a while to reach FSTDT.

Found a link to it on the Something Awful forums a few years back (around '06 or '07, I believe), and I've been regularly reading FSTDT ever since.

I followed a link 4 or 5 years ago to the Main Page from the Godless Bastard website. After a few months of reading and commenting on the sheer stupidity featured there, I came to the forums.

A friend of mine gave me a link, knowing my intense hatred of Fundamentalists. I decided to join the forums, after reading some comments and seeing that I wasn't alone in my objections to Fundamentalism.

Found through a series of clicks off of the Bad Astronomy website, where Phil regularly sounds off on fundie principles. Actually, it might have just been one click away via comment on post. I've been reading it pretty regularly now. I kept on reading to gather knowledge and wisdom from all of you like-minded skeptics.

A friend showed me the main page in April last year, but I didn't read much other than the top 100 until a year ago, when I did an archive binge during swot-vac. Since then, I've kept up with the main page, but I haven't managed to read all the archives, the stupidity overwhelms me. I followed the forum link a week ago, and joined the day before yesterday.

I saw a link on a video on Youtube where the guy was reading off the top 100s. I forget who it was, but it might have been The Amazing Atheist or Thunderf00t. That was over two years ago, right before the site was rebuilt. Odd that I've been reading the site since it was rebuilt, yet I just discovered the forums now, and this is my first post.

The Closest Thing to a God I Believe in is this Talking Coke Bottle. That, and Morgan Freeman.
