Not really, they push the "life at conception" line to an extreme degree -- once the sperm hits the egg, it's a "baby". (Which is silly.) Yes, it *could* be fertilized -- but that doesn't mean it will *implant* -- it could just be sloughed off at her next cycle. This makes me wonder.. what if the egg is fertilized but does not implant, and the woman just gives it off at her next cycle? Would the fundies start huffing and puffing and just consider that another form of an abortion, perhaps calling it some sort of "involuntary abortion", and complain about that as well? EDIT: I just noticed JonathanE's post saying Pope John Paul II declared this to be the case. What the hell??? So WHY do people still believe this crap?!
