My fav Chick tract? Why, DARK DUNGEONS, of course! Awesome fetishistic title? CHECK! Mistakes made about RPGs that five minutes of research could have solved? CHECK! Contempt and superstitious fear for other people's hobbies? CHECK! Inadvertently hilarious dialog? CHECK! ( "NOOO! No, Marcie, you didn't have to do that!" "I don't want to be Elfstar anymore. I want to be Debbie.") Runner-up: whatever the hell the tract was called where Chick claimed that the Catholic Church invented Islam. I know this impulse isn't Christlike, but I seriously wanted to beat him with a Papal encyclical when I came across that. When I played D&D my dungeon master sucked, I had a character get well over 8th level and he never taught me any real spells........WTF!

Yeah "Lisa's Father", I posted that one in the anti-religious songs thread--great & video though.

My favorite line of Dar Dungeons is "I'm fighting the zombie," says Elfstar playing by herself.

My favorite part of that particular panel is the phrase "I'm a Buddhist and you don't exist!" ;D So I'm allowed to say he doesn't exist because I'm Buddhist? But because I'm also an atheist, I really, deep down inside, believe he exists and am just having a hissy fit? I'm so confused I don't know if that "Buddhist" was addressing God or a fellow "sinner" but either way it's hysterical to hear Chick's absolute ignorance of other religions.

www.snopes.com/religion/einstein.aspSnopes points out that some urban legends where a strawman atheist professor gets humiliated are very similar to Chick Tracts on the subject. If you ever thought that Chick Tracts were too old-fashioned and lacking in pretty colored and psuedo-anime styled illustrations, Truth For Youth is your answer: www.thetruthforyouth.com/

Well then why the hell use a condom, since there's only a 5% chance of getting pregnant using no BC at all. AIDS can swim through the pores of a condom? I just couldn't go past that bullshit.

"Big Daddy?" - I love the bit where the student "disproves" the evidence of rock strata, and then, only a couple of panels later, calls in the evidence of rock strata to validate his claims. I wonder if Jack Chick even reads what he's written back to himself. Wanker.
Also, "Bad Bob." I love Bob, and I want to be his friend. I like the way he's drawn to look a bit like Alan Moore.
"Bob's the best connection we've ever had. He can get us Acid, smack, dust, coke, speed and black beauties. It's too bad he's such a sleaze."
*wince*

I've read those truth for youth before and they are pretty bad, but not as bad as Chick in my opinion. One thing that confused me is that "homosexual" is apparently a politically incorrect term according to that comic.

I loved how the Truth for Youth comic lumped in gay rights activists with anti-gay Nazi-types. They seriously compared the "sin" of hate to the "sin" of homosexuality. And the evolution one was funny too (Blah blah evolution blah blah racist blah blah need new arguments).

Does he really believe in Child sacrifices and that witches and vampires are real? I can't believe anyone over 12 could believe that sort of shit. I'm a practicing witch and I can tell you right now, I don't sacrifice any children or animals. And vampires are real.
