Sometimes you read something in a nominal "newspaper" that makes you doubt that humanity are truly worth saving. This slice of utter fucking dreck from local Sunday rag, the "Sunday Life" is one such thing. GASP! at the scarcely contained, virulent transphobia. SCREAM! at the sub-primary school writing. WEEP! at the fact the tossrag behind this substance free scutter of verbal arse-gravy is not only allowed publish this, but actually gets paid handsomely for it.

"Artificial women will never understand REAL women's problems!! They're just men who got tired of it! They'll always be men! They'll never be safe! They're just perverts who want to spy on us in the bathroom and look at our boobs without stigma!"
This is not an endorsement of bigotry, just a presentation of it.

I have decided a more productive use of my time is to play with Oriet's tits.

Because she's a rape counselor. Any other dumb questions you need answered?

I have decided a more productive use of my time is to play with Oriet's tits. She use to be such an innocent young lady before she met you. As for the article, all I see is more, "They are different from me. This makes me afraid." Douchebaggwry in the first degree.

Out of curiosity, how many of those few men have had newspaper articles written about them?

...why even write this article? I kept trying to find that Keira had committed a crime or something, thus trannies "ARE TEH EBIL", but all I see is "Female rape counselor USED TO HAVE A DONG!!! AND WEARS LEGGINGS AND HEELS AND LIPSTICK!!! OMG!"
EDIT: Leggings, not skirts. My bad; guys never wear skin-tight pants, so it's obviously a very feminine thing.

As a rape victim, and having trans friends myself, I'd rather talk to them a lot of the time than many cisexual (born fully female) women. Why?
-Having had to discuss their genitalia often, not just in private, but also in public, they usually understand how awkward it can be, and would therefore offer the appropriate sensitivity when dealing with discussion of damaged sexual organs.
-A large percent of trans women have been raped themselves, and many do not seek help because the world is not a very friendly place for them ("what if the cops tell me to 'take it as a man'?", "what if the doctors mistreat me?" "what if I experience a hate crime, or am denied justice because someone in authority learns that I am trans?"). Therefore, they might know a bit better the nature of rape, and the feeling that no one will help them, either by personal experience, through the experience of friends, or even just having to be aware of rape issues due to the higher statistic.
-Many have done extensive research concerning anatomy due to SRS operations they have had or might be considering.
-Much less likely to be susceptible to certain sexist notions, having broken sexual stereotypes themselves. Less likely to tell a raped male that he liked it or that he just "should have fought back". Less likely to tell the victim of domestic abuse that she should stay in the marriage and try to be a better wife.
-Having a transgender rape counselor alerts other GLBT people (like myself) that this person will usually not react negatively to GLBT issues.
The list goes on.

While someone seeking counseling should feel free to decline a specific counselor for any reason at all, even bigoted ones, I really don't get why that makes it anybody's business but their own. I'm not in a mood to read some poorly-written bigotry so I'm not sure if there's something I've missed, but the very existence of this story seems baffling to me.
