My mom also tells people that I have brown or hazel eyes and refuses to ever admit they're green. Draw your own conclusions. It's a bit of a late response, but judging by your sig pic she could be right about your eyes being hazel. When it comes to eye colour, hazel covers eyes that are light brown or amber near the pupil, and green on the outer part of the iris*. Grey/gray eyes are a similar story, they can look blue or green and sometimes have a yellow ring around the pupil. I've been told my eyes are hazel by one doctor and grey by another. * As well as light brown or gold eyes, obviously.

I don't hide it. Mum knows I'm definitely secular, and that I don't participate in any official religions. Any belief in god or whatever past that is my business, not hers. And that's how we don't argue.

Perhaps we should organize some sort of tactical rescue operation? I'll bring the ski masks! I'll leave my window open. I'll bring the assault rifles! On the topic, my family is pretty weird about this. I don't think anyone in my immediate family counts as "christian" anymore, or even that Satanic Catholicism we grew up in. But I'm damn sure if I told anyone I was agnostic (Which they would immediately take as atheist), there would be a shit storm. My family is Christian in name only, but they seem to take that name very seriously.

So they're CINOs?
Ironbite-dangeriouslly close to becoming Cenas but that's neither here nor at TPWW.

My parents know, since my mom flat out asked me one day (and I really didn't want to lie to her). She pulled out every trick in the book to reconvert me, including the whole "but if you don't believe in God, you'll go to hell!" argument. Somehow, we ended up talking about Evolution vs. Creationism (I'm sure you can guess what side she's on from this) and arguing about that.
After that, it wasn't really brought up, except one other time, and that wasn't anything notable.

I don't hide anything from my parents. They know I am non-Christian, however today while out shopping my mother told me she'd rather I be "agnostic" than "pagan" or "remotely Satanist".

I don't talk with my parents about religion much. I'm not an atheist, but every time we try to talk it ends in tears. I still haven't gotten up the nerve to tell them that I won't be joining them at their next church, although I think they suspect as much. I think that instead of going to church, I'm just going to listen to old Martin Luther King sermons on the internet on Sundays. They're one of the only reasons I bother with this religion anyway most days.

Well my parents are both baptist believers. They both do know that I am no longer a christian. When they first found out they did try the typical reconversion and going to hell and all, but it only happened once. Now we just don't talk about religion period. So things haven't been so bad after the initial fallout cleared.

Not an atheist, but not Christian either, so I guess it counts. Yes, I'm hiding my Wiccan-ness from my family.
I honestly think my mother would be accepting of my religion, and possibly my brother. Mom's a convert, so she understands how it feels to be uncomfortable with the religion you were raised in, and how much better you feel when you find one that works for you. As a Catholic in southern Alabama, she also knows firsthand what it's like to be a member of a minority religion that no one in the area knows much about, and that most locals think is Satanic. She's also pretty open-minded in general, and just wants everyone to get along.
My brother isn't likely to care one way or another. Even though we live under the same roof, we don't really see that much of each other.
My father is the one I'm concerned about. When I was younger, I remember him being an intelligent, open-minded man. Skeptical, but not too stupid to accept overwhelming evidence when it presented itself. Lately, however, his stubborn streak has gotten to the point where every time religion or politics is mentioned, he sounds like Pat Robertson. (And for someone who doesn't believe in global climate change, he sure does whine about it a lot.) He is a cradle Catholic, turned Catholic fundie, and I've reached the point where I can't stand to be in the same room with him if his mouth is open. He doesn't believe any Neopagan religions are anything but a silly game, like a LARP or something, and he'll prattle on to anyone he meets about the fucking "atheist agenda."
And if I mention my religion to my mom or my brother, the first thing either of them will ask me is why I haven't told my father. Because I'm not a masochist, that's why!

I had no problem telling my parents about it (mostly cuz they knew I'd been flip-flopping between believing and not since about 12). My dad seems to agree with me on most things, and my mom's almost fundie in some ways (its hard to explain). They're okay enough with leaving me be, but I get in an argument about it with my mother almost every time I see her.
I didn't plan on telling my fairly conservative, Catholic, extended family, but my dad tricked me into it. Said I should be my step-brother's faith guide for his Confirmation, in the middle of a family gathering mind you, and I said I didn't think an atheist would be the best choice for that. The silence following that statement was really strange... and then one of my uncle's thought I believe life has no meaning... It hasn't really come up since, though I think the more conservative of my relatives are simply in denial, or think I'll "see the light" or something.

My mother and a lot of the extended family on her side is very conservative and semi-fundy. I avoid discussing my agnostic/atheistic views with my mother but I'm sure she understands that I'm not a Christian. It's just frustrating when debating anything there's a very good chance she'll fall back on "Bible says..." argument at some point and as far as she is concerned is that the end of discussion. It would be a waste of time to argue any further at this point since she'd refuse to even consider the validity of any arguments contradicting her beliefs.
My father knows about my views on religion and since he's pretty much apathetic about religion he couldn't care less. The extended family on his side is strongly Eastern Orthodox but at least they can be argued with about religious issues in a friendly manner.

I didn't know anyone else had that.

My parents know, but I did hide my views from them for a while. My mom took it better than I expected because she's a more moderate Christian than my dad is. She's an evolutionary creationist, and so forth. My dad though is a pretty hardcore Christian and you would of thought I shot him from the reacton I got. It's a bit of a late response, but judging by your sig pic she could be right about your eyes being hazel. When it comes to eye colour, hazel covers eyes that are light brown or amber near the pupil, and green on the outer part of the iris*. I didn't know anyone else had that. Okay so I'm not the only one who's eyes seem to change colors depending on what I'm wearing. I have blue-green eyes. They seem deep green when I'm wearing green, camo, or something along those lines. If I'm wearing blue or some dark cool color they look bright blue. There are even certain outfits I wear that make them look gray.

Religion really doesn't come up in my family. My brother and I are sixes on Dawkins' scale....my dad doesn't really give a rat, and my mom goes to church to socialize and make me sing. tgrwulf- yeah, I see what you mean. It kinda looks like your eyes are tri-colored from that pic.
