I think if you can find it on www.boardgamegeek.com, it counts as a boardgame. KGS is an internet Go server. I'd locate the link if I weren't so accursedly lazy, but it can be easily found via Google.

HeroScape. Now there's a fun as Hell game. Rather expensive and time consuming. It's hard as Hell to find some of the older expansion sets but it's still awesome no matter what.

Risk (technically TEG, but it's the same as far as I know) Chess (not too good at it, but neither is my usual opponent so it's still fun. He somehow got convinced that I'm amazingly good at it and I only lose because I don't care enough to pay attention.) I like Clue, but apparently the mental powers required are beyond the scope of the 18 and 19-year-olds I currently call friends. Last time we tried to play didn't go too well. I was kind enough not to point out I started playing when I was 10. Monopoly and similar are always fun Some generic trivia game I played was fun, but had a fucked up answer key at some points, which kinda ruined the game for me.

Warhammer player here. I'm currently in the middle of a campaign (Fantasy, not 40K), coming second on territory, and about to start a suprise World War with my competitor. I've already amassed an enormous coalition. He's got two people on his side, and I've got four. Tee hee.
I also love monopoly, which I played just this weekend. With eight people (two trusts of two people each trust). It ended up with one person with the railroads and utilities, me with the red streets (trafalgar Square and Fleet Street ect) with 4 houses apiece and the set better than them not upgraded (which cost me $3000), another person with hotels on mayfair and park lane, another with hotels on the worst two sets (Old Kent and Angel Islington) and two other teams with nothing because they had unwisely sold off all their property.
I love monopoly.

Oh, I almost forgot, Dirty Minds is a lot of fun, especially in a group.
