first there were pet sitters for pets whose owners disappear in the rapture ( www.postrapturepetcare.com/ & eternal-earthbound-pets.com/ ) now you can mortgage your soul for real money.... Latvian firm accepts souls as guarantee for creditsI wonder if they can resell it? or if you mortgage it several time and can't pay any of the loans back, does your soul become toxic?

My question is, how do they collect the soul, which is the collateral, should they default on the loan?

My question is, how do they collect the soul, which is the collateral, should they default on the loan? I believe you sign a form saying you are using it as collateral and that you agree that it is theirs if you default on the loan. I guess it's kinda like intellectual property - after you default they can "use it" for nefarious purposes if they want...like making you come back as a ghost after you die and do all their filing...or reincarnate you as a devoted pet who will do deliveries...get information from other departed...Experiment on your soul and see if they can make you write bad poetry or barter you off between religions maybe My thought is what if you die before your 90 days is up? business wise: it's not like you can do it more than once so they are just handing out money to people who need it and playing on their sense of superstition and "ethics" to pay it back.

What if you sold it to the devil beforehand? How would they tell?

Wow, Vene, I'd never expect you to say something so incredibly disgusting.
You could easily get AT LEAST $200, with the prices of souls nowadays.

I recall a guy who sold his soul on eBay. He only got $20.

I recall a guy who sold his soul on eBay. He only got $20. Didn't ebay cause quite a fuss by blocking the sale citing the rule that you cannot sell on ebay anything that doesn't exist? I seem to remember fundies first being outraged that someone was selling their soul then outraged that ebay's official position is that the soul does not exist.

It seems that sneaky people have found a way around it The listing is not for the soul, which I agree with ebay does not exist, but for a title deed to the soul, which deed does exist.

I understand that eBay also forbids the selling of body parts, which means that fundies can interpret the soul thing either way.
