I am sure many a grade school kids were caught fondling themselves to that obscene pornography.

Is now a bad time to say I'm fondling myself to it right now?
Mantorok: Never!

9. Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson Really? I mean REALLY? Why the hell would someone want this book out of a school library? It's fantasy - nothing good can come from fantasizing about anything but God...There is a child who dies in it; children never die, because that means god was punishing them for something-and this was a main character that didn't really do something wrong....Survivors guilt - children shouldn't know about it or be shown to have it in any way... So many things that might damage the little snowflakes... Seriously though...That is why it was 'challenged'?

They're snowflakes now? Is that the excuse they're trying to pull for not paying their heating bill?

There's not even a nipple there! It's two tiny fucking lines. "Omigod, Junior saw lines. He's scarred forever!"

I loved Bridge to Terabithia as well. Why is that so high on the list?? I read it in fifth grade.

Somthing about fantasy creatures - the same reason Narnia and LotR tend to get banned in places.

I loved Bridge to Terabithia as well. Why is that so high on the list?? I read it in fifth grade. I read it about that time, too. It startled me reading it, mostly because you don't read a lot of "kids" stories that have one of the lead characters die. Especially not in school. Probably worth having kids read just for that alone.

Aah yes, Bridge to Terabithia, Where the Red Fern Grows...Old Yeller. Yeah, those are perfect kids' stories. (All of these were stores I read in school before I was a teenager.)
I'm not sayin they should be sittin there reading Cat In The Hat or somethin...but damn, find something more appropriate for the kids' age. You should only start reading this depressing crap in high school, when you come to halfway expect sad endings and shit.
