Well, first of all, lust is a SIGNIFICANTLY less-serious sin than homosexuality. And anyway, lust is only a sin if a woman has it, because women are supposed to be pure and not enjoy sex--it's totally okay in men, because they're men. So your argument fails to hold water. Where do you get that from? According to the reliable and trustworthy Ray Comfort, all sins are equal. Lusting and being gay both send you to hell. Try taking the "Way of the Master" quiz. Even if you say you've never sinned, it accuses you of lying, which is a sin, and says you're still going to hell. No matter what bad thing you have done, it will send you to hell just the same as anything else. Ted Haggard doesn't agree with that. His gay sex scandal forced him into rehab, from which he was cured. Then earlier this year he admitted to having gay sex with one of his parishioners and said that his sexuality cannot be put into a box. He also said he has been "wrestling with it" his whole life. If he had a constant supply of porn, maybe it wouldn't be such a struggle for him. I stand by my original argument.

I wanna know what this 'boot camp' consists of? If you watch the video in the original link, they basically show it. You dress up in army fatigues and combat boots and you get your own "dog tag". Then you sit in a big room rented out in a strip mall, listening to people like Gene Fredrickson talk about how they have occasionally looked at porn and felt ashamed by it. Then you plant your "White Flag of Surrender" on "Purity Hill" and vow to never look at porn again. Cured.

Do they offer live training exercises where they give you porn and you try to resist it?

Sometimes I think I have a wasted talent. You see, I actually am capable of resisting porn/masturbation for prolonged periods of time. 'Course, I have no reason to do so, and I don't. But I'm sure there are plenty of fundies who would kill for that.

But I'm sure there are plenty of fundies who would kill for that. I've never got it, myself. Because I don't really need porn or masturbation, either. It's just that even my once-Christian parents never taught me it was wrong, so I was never afraid or ashamed, and well, it's fun. So I kind of wonder why these people have so much trouble (Of course, I've been told by people before that my own state is the same as an addict saying they can quit at any time). But then, I've always thought that drugs and religion pray on the same groups, by and large. The addictive personalities. Maybe the people who are hard pressed to say no to God or other vices are similarly pressed to say no to porn. That, and it's taboo for them, which has to make it all the more tempting.

OCCASIONALLY buying a magazine or renting a movie is in no way an addiction. It only becomes a problem if it's upsetting the spouse or partner. These people are idiotic twats. Yeah, things like porn are only bad if they hinder you from functioning, i.e. holding a job, socializing, etc...

But I'm sure there are plenty of fundies who would kill for that. I'm pretty much the same way (and was while trying to be a guy, too). Hell, I've even been in strip clubs for hours on end (my mate was doing amateurs night) without any sort of reaction, though I was able to appreciate the strippers bodies, costumes, and talent, but it really was more in an artistic fashion.
But then, it's the mind that turns me on a lot more than a pretty face. (And yes, I pay more attention to the face than elsewhere.)

I don't know. My ex-partner did have a problem with the porn, with me hanging out with women or gay men or even lesbian women. I had problems with her problems with me in those areas, but that doesn't mean either of us stopped, despite the fights. We were very problematic. We ended up quitting each other, instead. Haha.

Everyone I've been with since high school is okay with porn. Before that, it didn't really come up much, since I'm not big on acquiring stuff that's not legal for me to purchase. Masturbation's a more varied issue.
