...and that would be me. I know when you start a new thread, you can choose the message icon you want to go with it. So how come some threads have folders with flames and some threads don't?? Somebody school me on this please...

It means the topic is "hot". Meaning a lot of people have replied to it. I'm not sure why they do it, either, because it's pretty common for us FSTDT-ers to take threads to page #85 and still keep going.

Popular threads, those that exceed a certain number of responses as set in the forum admin rules are shown as 'burning'. This is common on most all board software, so it is not surpriseing that Pro-boards does as well.
It just means it is a "HOT" topic. Basically thats it...

Just to add a bit, Distind might want to up the number needed for a topic to be shown as hot, it seems that quite a few threads are hot rather than just the exceptional ones.
