or "how to wipe out a country in one go" In 1916, the Egyptians decided to bomb one of my cities. Bad idea. After a few turns (which I spent mobilising forces and moving them into position), 150 Stealth Bombers. 200 Armor divisions and nearly 100 Howitzers rolled into Egypt in the same turn. Long story short, I won, they lost all their cities in one turn, I only lost three tanks and one stealth bomber Egypt in 1916: Egypt in 1920:

That looks like a fabulous game.

Neat little map. And nice... blitzkreig.
Still, it'd be way more impressive to do it in Civ4. Taking a city in that is a bastard, and will grind down armies without a substantial tech/experience advantage.

Ain't that the goddamn truth. *laughs and smiles all TOO knowingly*That's the reason why I always promote my early melee units with City Raider. Once gunpowder comes into play and those all get upgraded, a Stack Of Doom truly lives up to its name when it consists of Musketmen (later, Riflemen) with City Raider 3. ;D

Once gunpowder comes into play and those all get upgraded, a Stack Of Doom truly lives up to its name when it consists of Musketmen (later, Riflemen) with City Raider 3. ;D I usually do that too. So one time, I get the French declaring war on me in the industrial age and I launch to the offensive... only to run into their defensive primed infantry holding ground OUTSIDE of cities, that I can't meaningfully bypass because of how the terrain is laid out. And of course my units are actually weaker than they should be because the first three hours or so of the war (roughly, I think, thirty turns) involve me bashing my city-taking attackers against their terrain-based defenders before I finally break their lines and pile my forces through. From there things were... a little easier, but since at that point I'd lost all my city-raider units in favor of straight up combat and terrain promotions, it was only the development of tanks that won through. Then thirty years later or so they re-declare on me, this time using modern equipment, and World War 2 was engaged.
