If they were going to rule on where the profits went and redistributing more of it to academics, I would be highly interested.
As it is, it seems like it's the wrong time and place. There are lots of other issues Congress has to deal with, true. But surely there are several hundred things that are of greater priority than the BCS snafu. Like trafficking in human beings with US borders. Or something like that.

This is like when Brown made a press release about Jade Goody, except much stupider. I beg to differ. For a politician to get any stupider than that would require something of the order of doing a 90-minute Barney the Dinosaur impersonation on live TV complete with costume, and that so many people didn't see it for the blatant diversion it was is a sad reflection on the public's political awareness.
