I live in Moose Jaw. Somewhere in the middle of buttfuck Saskatchewan.

Shot in the dark here, but is anyone else here going to be at Frolicon in Atlanta this weekend? That could make for a good chance at a mini-meetup if so.

Here's a nice suggestion: June 12 is my 21st birthday. So I might negotiate with my roommates to have a few of you Midwesterns here. I'm aiming for a June 12-14 thing; we could drink at night and explore Des Moines in the day. If you REALLY want, there's a Coldplay concert on June 12. Pros: Game room inclusive of a beer pong table. Saturday, we could plan a picnic and a hike by the lake. Coldplay concert on the 12th, if you're into that kinda thing. www.adventureland-usa.com/index.php <- expensive option, really depends on what you wanna do Saturday. I'm a fairly commendable chef. Cons: Not a lot of sleeping space in my house. If more than 4 come I'll be willing to help fund a Holiday Inn room; its just behind my house. I will have at least 2 housemates, one of which is a slightly homophobic hick. I'm a little concerned about having transgendered people around him. Said roommate will be returning to Wisconsin for the summer. No weed. Sorry. Plan: Friday afternoon: People arrive Friday night: Drunken revelry/Coldplay Saturday afternoon options: Picnic by the lake, cheesy theme park, art gallery and city tour, we break into the Arts room and find a piano. Saturday night: More drunken revelry in the East Village Sunday: People leave If anything else refer to this article: wikitravel.org/en/Des_MoinesI live across the street from Drake University That is if I'm still in Des Moines. Again, I have to talk with my roomies but if they're okay with it, this is ON.

I'm aiming for a June 12-14 thing; we could drink at night and explore Des Moines in the day. I'm just outside of Des Moines, I'd love to get smashed with a few FSTDTers. I'm too stingy to shell out the money for a coldplay concert, but a night of drinking, pool, bowling, is fine by me

You'll have to hide your, um, "TS" from my redneck roommates but otherwise, always nice to have someone to drink with. I'll give you my number if you need anything.

I'm up for Chicago. I'm also up for anything in the Southeast. Nashville, Atlanta, etc.
Surely we have more Southern heathens here, right? Hello? *crickets*

I will also be at Pitchfork, as will my girlfriend. It's our one-year. ^-^

Doable, I think. If there's real interest in this, that can be my yearly "Get out of Utah" event.
Though my friends in California would kill me.

Would any FSTDT-ers in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area be interested in getting together in DC one weekend? I don't really know my way around except for on the Mall and surrounding areas, but we could maybe set something up. Maybe meet on the Mall and go to some museums. I know it sounds lame but I'm a pretty lame person.

Well, i'll be in NYC at the end of next month, and I haven't bought a ticket back yet, so I could pay a visit to DC if the timing is right.

Is anyone going to to the DC101 Chili Cook-Off in DC next month? I'll be there, so if anyone else is going, definitely let me know.

I've never been to the Chili Cook-Off but I know about it. Maybe if Armand is going to be around, we can meet up there. I have a car so I suppose I could offer rides to a couple of people--except I do not, under any circumstance, drive in DC. (METRO!)
