I know it's supposed to be amusing or silly or funny, but all it really is to me is sad. These kids don't know what they're saying, they're just repeating what their parents and their church has told them. And people approve of it because they're kids and "ALL KIDS ARE CUTE!" It's just the same as a kid raised with, say, the KKK parrotting racist crap. It's brainwashing, and it's sad. Thou hast been exalted. #8 what the hell does that kid know about loss? In fact I don't think anyone who quotes Job knows what real loss feels like. Thou shalt also be exalted (in a couple of hours). I found some of the footage sad, and some of it crazy. But eight was the only one that actually offended me. (I have to disagree with you about that last bit, though: Job is a pretty common fall-back for a lot of people who experience loss. It's the text they grew up with.)

I feel sorry for all of these kids, but for reasons I cannot understand the little girl screaming in what I suppose to be spanish scares the living shit out of me.

#1 I think was the saddest. You don't tell a little kid that people are having abortions- especially you don't tell him that people are murdering their kid. That's only going to scare the living shit out of him and mentally traumatize him. I feel bad for all of those kids. I really hope that when they grow up they will be able to get free from fundamentalism. But sadly, it doesn't look like it will be that way. The first one looks like it was filmed quite a few years ago--the 80s, maybe? the 70s? It's hard to tell with the internet. In any case, the kid is much older now. Here's to hoping he got out of that environment and became sane. I like to pretend they all do. I have to. I wouldn't sleep at night otherwise. First one is Marjoe Gortner. Yes he did get out of that environment, I suppose. They have a documentary on him called "Marjoe", you can probably find it in its entirety on Youtube. (Highly recommended.)

Of what conceivable value is religion if it has to resort to this?

I feel sorry for all of these kids, but for reasons I cannot understand the little girl screaming in what I suppose to be spanish scares the living shit out of me. Same. I have no idea what she's saying (It's not Spanish, probably Portuguese) besides "hallelujah" and "God" at the end, but the whole feel of what I suppose is an angry rant is scary.
