Not much going on. Sort of quiet.

All that has to happen is for the word "change" to pop up in the media again.
They don't like that word, it disturbs them!

That thread's just made of fail. Full of people who clearly haven't the baldiest fucking notion what they're on about. It can't be an effective boycott unless you're actually consumers of the service. If you are merely continuing not to watch something, your absence has already been noted, taken account of, and, guess what, the network has decided it can get along just fine without you. You're outside the demographic for the advertisers, too, so they plainly don't care. And wasn't this a horrible act of bullying censorship when it happened to Tiny Tears Beck all of six months ago?*
I particularly like the one who already doesn't watch Comedy Central, but plans to double their efforts in not watching it. How the fuck you plan to do that, genius? Spend twice as long watching something else? Watch other shows but really intensely? Start playing the bagpipes outside your neighbour's window at South Park time?
I like the complete absence of self-awareness, too. In amongst the obvious fatwah envy, they themselves are attempting to bully the channel into changing programming. Obviously, They're not doing it very well, but their intent is the same even if the methods are somewhat varied.
*(I'm aware the Beck thing was more sponsors spontaneously withdrawing than an actual campaign, but the base intent of altering programming by bringing financial pressure and opprobrium to bear is much the same)

Then why not just start showing your true colors, eh? C'mon, you know you wanna damn those nasty heathens, just like in the good old days!

Also, it might just be me, but RR, whilst quieter, is becoming more and more crazed and paranoid as time slips on. Every-fucking-thing is an attack on them, and only them. One can't help but wonder if it's all mere overcompensation for the fact that Obama is visibly neither the spawn of Satan, nor Joe Stalin come again.
I was rather surprised Laura Bush's remarks this week about how she isn't really vehemently anti-abortion or same-sex marriage haven't caused the entire sight to implode in apoplexy.

Well, we should have a verdict in the Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial by the end of June. Since the judge is sane, Prop 8 is probably going to be stricken down, so expect lots of exploding heads, constitutional analyses that a 2nd grader could poke holes in and bandying about of the phrase "activist judges".
But in the meantime... yeah. Nothing particularly groundbreaking going on at the moment.

Sadly, I keep misreading the title as "RR has been boning lately"...

What do you mean, "sadly"? With regards to the post below that... how does one "double up" on their efforts to boycott something? Either you're buying it or you're not.

Maybe she accidentally bought something from them. Dunno how that works though.

Nah, they were going insaner even during the "OMG Bush is the ONE" years. I mean remember the mass lockdown/purge because they were afraid we were "infiltrating them"? That was simply hysterical to watch, though really pathetic too. I honestly laughed at some of the remarks in that thread about how TV has low morals and spews garbage...all while most of RR rallies persecution of people because of sexual orientation they can't help and the murder/torture of anyone that doesn't "ko tow" to their demands and ideas

I was rather surprised Laura Bush's remarks this week about how she isn't really vehemently anti-abortion or same-sex marriage haven't caused the entire sight to implode in apoplexy. We all know that a woman's opinions are invalid anyway. Their reality filters are so strong they don't even perceive what she had said since it doesn't involve her making babies or being in the kitchen.
