Keep a look out for anything posted by baileysmom (...I think she's a newer member). That women is psychotic. She doesn't seem to post a lot, but when she does, it's always fundie gold. She reminds me of jaydensmommy from Yahoo Answers' R&S section. ...They may be the same person, come to think of it.

Sadly, I keep misreading the title as "RR has been boning lately"... Ugh. Bad mental images! Bad mental images!

Yeah, but mental images of ron4jesus (the guy with the porn-stache) mean that I need industrial-strength brain bleach! ARGH. Actually, mental images of ron4jesus doing anything at all require brain bleach.

The images that come from Big Bunny's username are far, far worse.

Right now, it is pretty quiet, but stay tuned as we get closer to November. A lot of conservative-fundies have staked their hopes on the Republicans retaking Congress in 2010, and impeaching Obama. Since it's looking less and less likely they'll even get the House, let alone the Senate, expect an epic level freak-out when they don't get their way.

I know this is off topic but what makes you think that the Republicans are going to loose Congress so easily? I have a bad feeling that a lot of people are going to buy into the BS the conservative end of the media is pushing. Heck I saw Newt Gingrich and Joe DeSantis' book "To Save America: Stopping Obama's Secular-Socialist Machine" as the number 6th non-fiction bestseller in the nation. Then again I can be rather pessimistic, and a list of bestselling books is not necessarily a good indication of what's going on. Still, I have some doubts on your statement.

I admit to also have doubts on the statement, but the best seller list is useless. Many right wing books get on the list not due to actual sales, but from the writer buying it (or right wing organizations like WND and OneNewsNow buying a massive number of books then giving them away/selling them for a loss).

Well that's a bit of good news at least. I still have some doubts but at least the bestseller list isn't a good indicator. And assuming that the Republicans don't take Congress then RR could become very entertaining indeed...

Can I get a source on that? I've heard that claim before and it sounds incredibly conspiratorial. And yet sadly plausible at the same time. I have no idea how elections are going to go this November, but barring a Republican landslide (not likely) there will doubtless be much wailing and gnashing of teeth come November 3rd. RR is absolutely convinced that America has abandoned Obama and come over to their way of thinking and that 2008 was a minor hiccup in the "permanent Republican majority" that Rove was babbling on about a few years ago. Like pretty much everything else they're convinced of, it's wrong. And like I said, Perry v Schwarzenegger will probably be decided by the end of the month. I can't see any possible way for the judge to rule against the plaintiffs. The resulting shitstorm will be hilarious.

There was something on here re: buying books and giving them away for free regarding Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue". Gimme a tick... Yes. That's what it was: Copies were given away "free" to those who donated to Palin's fundraisers, and as gifts to magazine subscribers. It was also frequently sold below cost. Some stuff here: mediamatters.org/research/200911160066I'm certain there's a bit more to it, but I'll be buggered if I can find it right now.
