Ok Missouri is among the lowest but not the very lowest.
Why am I not surprised. Not only do we suck but we don't even get the infamy of really sucking.
Missouri even sucks at sucking.

LOL--so now I have found what my hometown is successful at. That's making lemonade out of lemons. On a related suckiness note, several years ago, my county within that Congressional district was the county with the highest rate of pregnant teens who smoked while pregnant. Go us.

Wisconsin (my home state) being in the middle doesn't surprise me too much. It has alot of great areas, but it also has its share of rednecks and trouble regions. As for Minnesota, I can't say I'm surprised they're amongst the top 20%. They do have a knack for keeping their state fairly well managed and sensible.

Wow, it just gets worse and worse for you doesn't it? I expect that statistics will soon surface showing that your road has the highest per capita level of marmot-buggery.

So that's what she does in her spare time. I also write personal letters of recommendation for internet friends who need to get into genetics programs... ... for a "price", of course...

Hey, my state (Minnesota) isn't doing too badly, overall being #5. Also the best health... if only I could get on my state's health care instead of Medicare I'd be much better off.

Those are self reported, iow people say how they feel. Those figures really have no weight on actual testable medical physical or mental well being.

At least you managed to get out of the Appalachias...right? You are far enough north of them now? I'm currently living in a state that's 100% in the Appalachias. Not just the eastern part or the western part...all freaking state.
