Hooray for Iowa, Massachusetts, and Connecticut! (Suck on THAT, California!) Legally, they can't anymore. Oh they can still suck it, they're just not allowed to put a ring on it.

This is SO fucking awesome. The article says NY has a bill up for a vote, so I'm hoping we're next in line. If it's legalized here, I'll gladly perform the marriage if I'm allowed to. (I am an ordained minister, actually...)

Wow, this has been an amazing week, eh? I'm going to head down to my local gay rights organization. I bet they're having the wildest party right now.

They're limited positions (Only so many per town), and I'd love to have legal authority ot marry people. Like Homer Simpson.

Goddamn, why can't these fuckers spend that wasted time helping people in the community that need it rather than storming the capitol over gay marriage? I mean, wouldn't Jesus be happier if they were helping people that needed it than stomping their feet and crying like hateful, spited bigots?
This is why i call bullshit on most of christianity, they'd rather do shit like this than actually put the same effort into helping their fellow man

A conservative advocationg revolt against a branch of government because it didn't kiss his ass? How completely not suprising. And I like how these drooling morons didn't realize the governor can't do anythhing to stop this, I guess they're so used to making shit up they started doing it to their own people.

Makes on wonder what this guy was saying in 2000 with Bush v. Gore.

If I'm not mistaken, Washington D.C. is also voting to approve gay marriage and to recognize gay civil unions. I'll look up the link soon (starved for lunch!), but they did so soon after Vermont announced it's decision. My apologies if its been mentioned already.

DC already recognises them from other states. Now they're working on legislation to allow for their own.
