I am currently on easter vacation, and as much as I like having (paid) days off, I am uncomfortable celebrating any christian holidays. I need a list of new holidays tailored to my atheistic worldview.
I'll keep christmas and call it yule, because in Scandinavia we need a humongous feast in mid-winter.
I'll celebrate International Workers' day on May 1.
Norway's national day is May 17. Then we celebrate our constitution. It is worthy of celebration, although I may disagree with several paragraphs.
Darwin Day, just for the hell of it, you know. After all, the man helped change the way humans perceive ourselves.
United Nations Day, october 24.
Those are all I can think of. Any suggestions?

Your birthday! And you could celebrate Summer Solstice by going to the beach

The solstices and equinoxes? Pi day? I like celebrating the March 15 (Ides of March) and September 30, but those are for a variety of personal reasons.

Atheist Holiday sounds kind of like an oxymoron to me.

It would just be a holiday that has nothing to do with god.

I can only think of Blasphemy Day, which celebrates free speech. A number of events in my life that happened on or around September 30. As I said, personal reasons. Blasphemy Day is a nice addition to the date, but I only found out about it earlier this year. Paradox: We could call them festivities or celebrations, if it's the "holy" part that's bugging you.

I had a meetup for my atheist group on April 1st. It wasn't until after I scheduled it that the April Fools connection clicked in my head. I had a good chuckle over it when I realized it.

How about Saturnalia, that Roman holiday of Bacchinalian debauchery that the Christians took a lot of Christmas traditions from? We can just cut out the religious part and get drunk and fuck. *G*

Entirely unnecessary conditional phrasing.
