well the site closed down after i left, but i left as a programmer because the other programmers weren't responsible. one in particular was famous for scouring for new flashy addons, implement the addons, or start implementing them halfway, but he didn't like the testing/debugging phase (who does?) so he would not only add on things without permission, or get permission from the site head administrator and i wasn't informed, he would implement something that didn't work right, get bored halfway, and then disappear for months at a time so there was no way to contact him.
one advantage to you being the sole administrator is definitely that you know what's going on sitewise, but as you said, it takes a long time.

Back before everything broke down, I was gonna get database access and some programing books. The damn SQL Server program Microsoft had for download wouldn't work for me though... Fucking Microsoft...

As much as i'd like to help, I'm going more into PHP/Python, and I'm aware that the mainpage is mostly done on ASP. So yeah, not going to be of much use there (not to mention, I'm not exactly the best programmer out there). However, I'm more than happy to assist with churning out stylesheets and designs though.

I may run some of my UI abominations past you blue, once I know they work at least.
I'm actually using a .net verison of python for some scripting at work now, it works wonderfully.

blue, i don't blame you for what you're going into. php and python are really good, if you're more of a back-end person like I am. I still find AJAX, js, and ASP pretty useful for front-end development, and i still find AJAX working together with php and mysql to produce some pretty orgasmic sites.....i mean not counting getting into actionscript or other flash-based media for the front end.
